I haven't used any scientific calculator earlier. that way you have explained everything from basics is awesome. Hats off to you for all your hard-work and dedication.
Thanks for a lot the video! I'm gonna take a computer engineering degree for college and I'm sure that these videos will help me throughout my school years. I learned a lot about the Casio calculator because of your videos during my school year that my teachers wasn't able to teach me because of the pandemic and as a visual learner, the manual is hard despite that the scientific calculator that I bought (Casio 991-ex) comes with a free book for every purchase of their product here in the Philippines. I hope that you wouldn't stop making videos about the Casio 991-ex as I found these new product line a nightmare, making me hope that they would still make a new product line with the old layout which I prefer along with it's durability. That's why I bought their product as it sets it apart from other ones such as Texas Instruments and Canon as well as Hewlegt Packard.
@@madhurbhargava7781 basically, to do the job I want l, I have to get a school degree called Abitur and that's the only calculator allowed in the 3 prep-years and the final 4 tests, that's what I mean

hi, this UI looks finally quite cool and fresh :-) ordered this lovely calc today (fingers crossed the keyb is OKAY, because on 991ex (the ugliest font one), I fixed the keyb response little-bit by some supports for keyb PCB on the edges where it was too flexible, ... more screws nex time, guys ...) ... (and thanks to all your tutorials!) ... on the web exists one article titled "Comparativa entre las Casio fx-82 más actuales" which compares 3 generations of fx-82 up to 2nd ed and its funny how they skipped with keyb layout, really as if it designed little kids :-) ... I understand its not easy to do unified UI with growing functions, but on this 991cw somebody evidently restarted thinking :-) kudos!! and tnx again to U2;
... umm fact is, that I like more the alpha-based keys than those symbolic as pwr/root/frac here ... and would be nice to have things like " . , : ;" somehow "cycled" on single key or so ... its all about usage frequency of most important keys ... ya, ... its quite sad that there isn't some at least ITU-T approach (as on old mobiles, I use it still on android ...) to write complete alphabet/numbers easily, to enter functions by partial names (autocompleted from submenus) ... :-)
also, I play with calcs only for relearning about math (and this approach here IS very clear for this purpose, IMHO, not confusd by searching on keypad, using unified control, umm, I will see ... only personal experience can provide the feeling ...), not for daily usage, where even things like Sharp EL-501T is in fact plain old "TI-style", most known for me for decades :-)
Thank you, much appreciated. The difference between Combinations and Permutations is not about repeat vs non-repeat (i.e. "putting it back" and being able to choose the same thing again), but about whether you care about the order in which things are chosen (Permuations) or not (Combinatioms). If you allow repeats (and care about the order) then the number of possibilities is n^r.
This video was very educated I learnt alot but be any chance can you explain how I could use the calculator on an exam perhaps on CXC mathematics paper 2
Because it's a very huge exam that's coming up in the Caribbean and honestly be able to understand how to use this calculator for the long questions would be a game changer for me the exam is on the 13th so I'll be messaging and hopefully you do a paper
Thank you for your extensive video - I do seem to have an issue with this calculator dividing or multiplying two numbers in floating point - E.g. if I divide 1x10-3/1x10-4, it should equal 10, but on the fx-991CW, I get 1x10-7. Any suggestions? Thanks
Try parenthesis for everything in the numerator end in the denominator. For what this 1x10-3? Is it the 10 to the power of -3? If so is the specific key for that. I have given examples in the video.
I would recommend 991ex if you're used to old settings. 991cw is basically Casio 991ex but with different layout and slightly faster speed, but I think having the menu layout makes the faster computation speed useless as it slows you specially if you use convert a lot for math. The only pro I found useful for this new calculator is sorting statistical data into ascending and descenting order which is useful if your math teacher require you to compute statistics manually with formulas that need to be passed to your teacher. If you have the previous 991ex I would suggest you to stick with that as the only function that is new other than that is math box which isn't that relevant speaking from my perspective as when I took my stats course we already have a table listing numbers of heads and tails and if you need this function you can do this with online apps so all in all the new app isn't that relevant and commonly used on a daily basis in mathematics.
Oh, and another plus is the page scroll key which is good as it makes it easy to school up and down on statistics and spreadsheet data as well as letting you choose the minutes before your scientific calculator auto power off wether it be 15 minutes or 60 minutes.
You made a Titanic job here. Thank you. If I had to buy a new scientific calculator, a non graphic model, I'd go for this one. Cosmetically I prefer Sharp models but they are incredibly slow in solving integrals. One question: is there anything comparable to this amon Sharp calculators? I wanted to buy a EL-506T but from your old video it seems it's VERY SLOW in calculating definite integrals compared to this and other casio. Thank you

@@MrMarcec85 not only that, this one is missing a few features when compared to the EX models. This is straight up a downgrade from that one.
