    I love how LG is going crazy with trying out new things. I am a fan of the design of the phone, not like the typical generic smartphone look that most other manufacturers are throwing out these days.

      The hifi audio dac extension, if it is quality, is a must buy godsend to me. Oh my how i have loathed the crap audio of many phones and even mp3 players!

      @mitchelltan2909 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Holger Lindh I think we have to see the future before judging. it is kind of disappointing how they only came up with 2 modules. Also both aren't really useful for me. I scare it is just one of the attempts that will just get forgotten and removed.

    • @nobodyimportant5337
      @nobodyimportant5337 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Holger Lindh I agree, I think their work is inspiring & revolutionary. Especially when you consider they're also developing roll-up portable TV sheets so you could watch TV pretty much on anywhere as long as it has a wall.

      +Star Co Wrong. I use Nova Launcher now and it's faster even when compared to Google's launcher which is quite fast anyway. So right away you have 2 fast and clean looking options.

    • @myrmeko
      @myrmeko 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, they didn't.
      If you look closely to the powered on phone that is on the table you will see that it has that small little white circle which is the app drawer.
      I wonder if they made something like Blinkfeed this time... I hope so.

    • @kyledc4105
      @kyledc4105 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      ***** The average consumer finds the app drawer confusing as many believe they've managed to install apps twice when they show up both on their homescreen and the app drawer. They also find it a little annoying to have an extra step just to access your apps instead of simply unlocking the device and having all your apps there. Lastly, it takes up an extra slot in your dock which could be used for another app instead. But it does kind of suck to those who like the app drawer and use it regularly. Luckily they have the option to get a launcher.

    I cant wait until April. I have the very first LG G phone. It is called the LG G optimus. I have had it for almost 2 1/2 years . I have watched this phone get popular over a 4 year span. I was mad because the LG G5 came out 2 months after I upgraded my phone. The reason why I didnt get the G4 is because I know every year they come out with a new one. I love its features and capabilities. Iphone and Samsung will officially have a new competitor. LG 3 and 4 already made it a new competitor but this is serious now.

    Finally some company advancing on the 'block-phone' idea. It's a nice approach, and I'm pretty sure it works just fine - I really dont understand the guys saying it will eventually wear off, it wont last a year as a phone because of its "friends" and plugging them in and out - but seriously these dudes need to live back in 2016 and not 1990.

    I feel like they nailed it. it's sleek, sweet spot size, screen as already been good enough on the G4, as well as camera, which they manage to improve. so it's the perfect phone for power users and style lovers. I can't see a real weakness.

    -The G4 looked amazing, didn't consider it because of battery life, hope they fixed it
    -Wonder if the bottom part won't break on the pocket
    -also whith the camera accessory (plus extended battery) when sitting on a table it slants upside down, which is weird, perhaps the screen should rotate

    I wonder how much battery will the B&O DAC eat and will there be a quick cover or other cases that fit the phone with the DAC.

    SUPER NICE!...I'm so tired of these other brands locking in the ability to be modular, like the S7 not allowing battery swap, but finally realizing people dumped on it for taking out the SD slot.
    A 32bit DAC was also a super smart move for serious audio folks that love high quality output in the car or living room. The added camera brick maybe fine if you need batterylife , but I wouldnt want to need it, nor bulk up the phone. 2 cameras is also a smart move to give you the multiple lens angles.
    They should have built the 32bit dac in the standard phone. I like listening to great music in the car, but surely not gonna switch in out of an accessory to do it in my fast paced life!
    WELL DONE!
    FYI,
    The design of the phone maybe not inventive, but to complain about it when there are 10 other brands that do the same thing is a bit pointless. Thank goodness they are getting that curved blip of a tech out of screens large or small, and Samsung is lame for using glass in the back, while Nexus 6P was fround on for bad deign from an engineering stand point as DIYGuy bends and cracks it folds it in half...I put the phone in my back pocket all the time!.
    So this design is well worn, but surely not ugly. I just hope they used the top shatter resistant glass available...also a strong frame design to not bend, and the display I don't know if OLED is better or not.

    They did a lot, and I mean a lot of things right here. Truly showcased their innovative abilities with that magic slot, the way the glass curves at the top of enhance the feel when you pull down the notification shade, the dual rear cameras with a simple use and nothing over the top like HTC tried, the power button/fingerprint sensor combo, the smaller form factor, removable battery and expandable storage, always on display, USB C, and the "friends" as they call it. However they fell short on design here. There were simple things they could've done to save it but I really look at the design of my phones first and this just doesn't sit well with me.

    This device looks amazing! I'm a Samsung owner ( Galaxy Note 3 ) and have been patiently waiting for the next greatest phablet. LG has caught my eye with this device. I won't be buying it because it's not a phablet but I can't wait to see what they roll put to compete with the Galaxy Note 6 come October.
    The removable battery and micro SD have me sold!
