It started long before that. Her coaching season of TUF was a very unflattering self portrait of jealousy. Tate is beautiful, Ronda is not...and you could feel the spite. If you watched it, you came away despising her. Holm's knockout was the second greatest live sporting event of my life, right behind James Harrison's pick6 in the Superbowl.

Ronda was surrounded by people who were either delusional or sycophants, and they just massaged her ego while holding their hand out for a pay cheque. Real warriors have people who will point out their weaknesses and work to eliminate them, but Ronda Rousey was, is, and always will be a hype job! She believed her own publicity and nearly got her head kicked off her shoulders by Holly Holm, before Amanda Nunes annihilated her and damaged her already fragile ego. Boo hoo! She had it coming.

I don't think Rhonda's ego works with pro wrestling, it's like Bischoff said she's kind of whiney and that's like a personality thing.

Eric Bischoff is not wrong. In fact he hit the nail on the head. Ronda did not want to be there and all she did was bitch about the travel schedule. She did not like Bruce Prichard because he told her that the was terrible and didn't deserve to be in any wrestling ring and that she could not work. Rhonda wasn't good at MMA, she knew one move and got lucky with no one knowing how to defend against it. The second someone used her medicine against her she cried, and called them a bully. She went to the WWE with her fake tough-girl face, and proved she had never been able to throw a punch real or fake. The second the fans saw through it she cried and called them bullies. She destroyed one of Mortal Kombat's most iconic characters with a face and voice that was so bad they had to create a DLC that replaced it, and now she wants to talk about how evil the WWE is.

There are women who get matches cut, train for years, look a million times better and still wont ever see the stage she saw. Looking at Rousey, it makes me think of George Foreman. In the 70s, he was a hard punching, scary dude that most thought was unbeatable, until he faced Ali, and lost. It messed with Foreman in his head, and would lead to him taking a sabbatical from boxing. After a while away, and finding himself, he came back a happier person, more focused, and 20 years after losing to Ali, would regain the world title.
For Rousey, it's probably eating at her that she wasn't unstoppable in the octagon, and at some point, she'll need to get back in UFC, and prove she can still win a fight.
I can't remember who said it, but i remember a person saying that in boxing (so likewise, other combat sports), the test of a fighter isn't them never losing, but how the rebound after they lose.

When Rhonda first appeared, she was dominant in MMA, when she got her ass handed to her, not once, but twice. Her ego wasn't bruised, it was obliterated. She needed WWE more then WWE needed her. When her run didn't turn out as planned the first time, she disappeared and became a Mother ( no knock on that ) when she finally came back that second time, again like Eric said, she was miscast. When they finally turned her it suited her better, just like at the end of that first run, but just like the end of the first, no one cared. She wasn't "over" wasn't gonna get over. Her invincible persona was gone with those two MMA ass whippings. She is a bitter person. No way around it. The mystique was obliterated.

When people say she did it for the paycheck they don't necessarily mean someone is broke. The WWE more than likely offered her enough money to make it worth her while. Being a fan and being a wrestler are not the same thing. Just like CM Punk found out, being a fan of martial arts, BJJ, MMA, doesn't mean you're also a fighter because you trained for a little bit here and there.

Rhonda was definitely a massive wrestling fan, but that doesn't necessarily make you good at wrestling. You can be the biggest music fan in the world, but that doesn't make you a virtuoso violinist, nor does that prime you for dealing with managers, agents, contracts and all the behind the scenes stuff in the music industry. How many power slams, body slams, dropkicks, clotheslines, DDT's, backbreaker, choke holds or jumped off the top rope on to someone? Not one time. All she does is move around like a slippery snake she is nothing more then a 1 trick pony. Another thing I agree with Eric Bischoff is when she got beat by Holly Holm it took out all the competition attitude. These days at UFC she has really become the punchline for all the jokes...

Honestly, I think Ronda's response to the loss to Holm was more damaging than the KO itself because of what it did to her image. "The baddest woman on the planet" would've owned it and been chomping at the bit for a rematch to reclaim her belt, not going into hiding for months only to return and have an emotional breakdown on Ellen. The opportunities in Hollywood quickly dried up soon after, and before too long, Conor McGregor had taken over as the UFC's biggest star. WWE was too little too late.

@@The_Champ_4U it's because once you have 1 concussion it can easily trigger future ones even from a slap. This is widely known in sports and most take extra precautions and make sure they feel comfortable to report it without losing their job like Football for example. Football had many lawsuits over players getting them and it was revealed then how once you get 1 or two further episodes become easier.

The “thrown to the wolves” argument is silly.
She chose to be there, and to cash a check.
If she felt under prepared, or management felt she was; maybe she should have spend some time at the development facility.
Maybe she didn’t want to (wouldn’t be a surprise given her personality)
Maybe management thought she was “good enough” - which, says a lot of what they think of women’s wrestling.
Personally, it just looked like a cash grab to me, from her, and WWE.
She shouldn’t have been in there, and certainly shouldn’t have been as stiff as she was with the talent.
