My grandad was a life long Penn Central/Amtrak employee. He worked as a watchman, gateman, crossing guard. His place of work was a tiny shanty outside of a crossing. We road the trains free between East Greenwich, R.I. to Boston. Back Bay, Back Bay, Fenway, here we come!
My Dad used to fly fish the quabog, best part was him slipping and getting wet! My mom and I would laugh. Across the river was the tracks, loved it when trains went by! Those were the good old days.

That is one long ass train
I’m always amazed at the amount of graffiti on all the rail cars.
As long as they don't paint over the numbers and limits, train companies let it ride

Nice, a bunch of my co-workers live around that area. Nice area to tour for leaf watchers.
Beautiful countryside there.
Wow the mills in Warren! Been there once, nice small town.
What a beautiful place :-)
I see a few Canadian rail cars: CN and CP.
Is there a car manufacturer near by?That was a TON of empty auto cars and maybe the shortest intermodal train I think I’ve ever seen.
No, but there is an impressive wire mill along that river. I typically see that train roll through Ware and Palmer.
What was the old mill in the background?
I wasn't aware that you are a railfanner. That's 2 things we have in common.
I knew you were an FRN…
