I can't remember the last time I was so impressed by a youtube video. What an amazing combination of knowledge of dinos, so many building techniques, artistry, video editing, and dry humor in a soothing almost ASMR voice.
It's amazing how you mix the characteristics of different animals such as geckos, birds, turtles, and even mammals. Also, your video editing and narrative are on point! What wonderful work, keep it up!
I’m a bit sad that this didn’t last long enough to make people appreciate that you spent almost 14 months on this, you are so good, i follow you since the worst sculptures giveaway on various account and really saw you shine, keep it you really inspired me
This video is very impressive and professional. I am a sculptor and my 10 yr old Gr. Grandson is a dinosaur expert. We live not far from the Paleontology museum in Drumheller. We build small sculptures from clay (real and polymer). I will have him watch this video for sure. Your knowledge, patience, attention to detail and methods are first class. Your resources such as equipment and materials are beyond our budget but perhaps we can raise our game in the future. You, young man, have a great life ahead of you. Congratulations! and Thankyou!
I agree lol he could make his own museum in his backyard and the creatures don’t have to be to scale just roughly the size of ponies and then use those old drawings they use to show the actual size of the animals
I am Chilean, that is, from the country where this dinosaur was discovered. I am very happy that you have reconstructed it. Your figure is much better than any reconstruction I have seen.
Been waiting a while to see the end result of this and man it blew my expectations away. You seriously outdid yourself here, Kayak, was totally worth the wait. It looks like that thing could up and walk away if it wanted to. I hope a museum hires you someday to make sculptures for them.
This is my favourite video of all time. Everything about it is perfect, it has a dinosaur, good pacing, good editing, nice voice, cool music, little sound effects, good camera quality, everything is amazing in this!
It's always amazing watching a lump of material turn into a cohesive, intelligible design. You crafts-people always impress me with y'all's creativity.
absolutely astonishing! As someone who has done alot of research into paleontology in general I'm very impressed by the degree of research and anatomical accurately put into your sculpt, let alone the fact you picked on of the most interesting and bizarre dinosaurs out there. I'm also very glad you were aware of how keratin could effect the actual appearance of osteoderms etc especially on the tail. I also really really really love the colouration.
The amount of structural and anatomical knowledge you need to build this thing is insane! Nice job! I hope to see more content like this in the future!
It looks like you took a picture of a real animal! I hope you do more life-size Dinosaurs in the future, because this looks amazing! I'll bet that the Creators of Prehistoric Planet will use this design for a possible Second Season.
I feel like your work just keeps getting more and more impressive all the time. This little guy is just delightful, and I love his coloration. The trick with using silicone molds and putty to apply the scales is genius.
man this guy is your best yet. sooo in love with those colors. your videos have become so engaging i cant just put them on as background noise anymore, i just have to watch the whole thing to see what sort of silly things happen!
This is absolutely amazing! I could see this being among a museum display. Your attention to detail is unmatched. I particularly love how the head scales turned out, and I love the rippling keratin on the tail and beak.
Man this was such an absolute joy to watch. From conceptualisation to realisation, all the way through. It was so interesting to see all the different animal and colour references used, and all the sculpting and painting techniques too. Thank you for this, please do more! (The fact that these are available in smaller scale also boggles my mind, that 3D scanner is so handy)
I'm so happy that Crafsman introduced your channel by opening those dinosaur eggs you sent, I'm a follower and patreon since then. this is my favorite works of art. reconstructing dinosaurs, putting the puzzle pieces together, taking inspiration from some related animals - people do this for museums and it looks amazing! my favorite piece of art almost like this is Jurassic Park’s Rexy. not only it was an amazing piece of work, but it could move. they made two parts of Rexy, A full body (I think there was a full body, can’t remember), and a head. and some shots in the movie were completely CGI. it was probably the most accurate out of any of the dinosaurs in the set, Dilophosaurus being the least accurate. your art makes me feel like *I* could do it, and well, I’m making small dinosaur figurines out of clay as a start. thanks for the amazing art you show, it can truly inspire people.
This turned out amazing! If you ever make another full scale sculpture and want it to stay outdoors all year long, you should look into Pal Tiya as a sculpting medium.
Really nice sculpture and a beautiful paint job. Enjoyed seeing your mix of mediums, techniques and references. One of your most impressive works to date. Nicely done!

Ah, so this is where you've been. I was wondering why you hadn't uploaded, but I fully get it now. Also, great work, it looks really nice and I cant wait to see your next project.
Love seeing how your skills in both model making and content creation have grown and improved as I've been watching. Your narration is interesting and funny and your voice is nice to listen to. The editing is so smooth and polished and even the little fun things you do (like the sequence of uncovering the dino from the snow) aren't like annoyingly long or obnoxious. Your models are incredible as always and loved seeing you work with a bunch of different materials. Foam clay is one of my favorites to use, so easy and versatile. Literally my only complaint about you/what you do is that your models are too good but Etsy shipping to the UK is...very expensive. I'd probably have bought a good few things from your store by now but I suppose it's better for my wallet that you aren't UK based haha Keep up the amazing work, I'm excited to see what's in store next
