    Thats brilliant Andy. It's not as simple as people think. Fair play to you and well done to the camera man for standing still in the cold lol.

    Everything is very professional, but not every beekeeper can work like that. Only an artist of beekeeping. Super!

    Jayzus Andy your brave and an innovator, I’ll give you that! 👏Are you not worried about the queens getting lost or injured though!? And is the hair dryer on a cooler setting to prevent wax damage? I love the idea of the OA & glycerin soaked strips too👌

      @@RoloTomasi654 hello there 😊 there is not enough time and temperature to melt a wax (needs over 65°C). Queen loses are less than 5%, but huge benefit have 0 % mites at the spring time! 👍

    Hi. How big does the drum need to be to handle a 1.5 kg package of bees (10.000 bees) ?

    Hi Andrew. Your videos are helping me to learn beekeeping, keep up the great work ! Have you ever used an insect fogger with oxalic acid ? What treatment for varroa is the most effective and easy for the beginner beekeeper ?

    • @irishbee3632
      @irishbee3632  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i tried most of treatments. if brood is present in the hive no treatment if efficient as all the mite is on it. You need to treat bees when all the mite is on the bee.I will make a video about oxalic acid stripes and explain more about it, when to use it and how.

      After Thermal treatment did you check the varroa infestation with alcohol wash? Does it matter the humidity in bee sauna?
      Same here, oxalic does not work enough.
