#11 Mazda CX5 Engine Oil Pan works

In this video, we illustrate the steps taken to replace the adhesive glue of the oil pan / oil sump cover of a vehicle model: Mazda CX5, 2.0, year 2013, 2WD. It is to be noted here that there is no any official oil pan gasket sold by Mazda Motor Corporation for the above mentioned vehicle model. They are using a specific glue to mount the oil pan cover to the lower part of the engine bay. We had to replace the adhesive glue because we suspected the engine oil was leaking through the oil pan cover and the base where it was mounted to. After completing the task and using the car for about one week, we noticed that the oil leak was still present, and the real culprit was yet to be identified. Oil pan sealant rarely leaks, especially on Japanese cars. I always check from the top down when the pan looks like it’s leaking oil.
