@SVPD-LR-114 Had a recall for the computer . Stiff ride but problems No. I like everything about it except the automatic brakes when in cruise control. Just can't get used to the car slowing/stopping by itself.
Great job explaining all of this thoroughly. One thing I would change though. After the fill start the car and let it build pressure and check for leaks before putting that bottom panel on. Keep going!
Thanks bud, I pick up my 2025 mazda 3 in 2 days and this was a good to know kinda thing as I do my own oil changes and have never worked on one of these cars before
You should always clean off with a clean cloth the filter mating surface on the block as you don't want any debris on that surface that might stop the filter gasket from sealing properly.
2:39 Very knowledgeable video! I have the same 2019 Mazda 3 hatch. I was wondering if you knew anything about the engine splash shield screws that hold it to the body. I’ve been trying to find the exact ones to get for a while now. Appreciate the help!

Thanks! What's the crush washer part number?
I changed my first oil in a 1989 toyota corolla. Man, I feel old. I just bought a 24 mazda 3 hatch. I love it so far.
Haha time flies! Crazy to think I’ve been at it nearly 10 years myself, feels like yesterday I did my first oil change as well. Enjoy your 3!
Any issues with it so far?

What's the difference with the 2024?
Waiting on the ambient lighting tutorial!!
Yes
Thanks for the video. Just the way I do my oil changes…….complete with dropping a tool in dirty oil container :)!
Great video! Thanks so much
Why have you not pre-filled the new oil filter ?
have you ever?
@@front2427 Every single time - why would you not ?
@@tubamanandy2 Unnecessary, the oil flows through it when you start engines, but if you feel its a thing, carry on.
@@front2427 But why would you risk a short period where it doesnt because you havnt bothered to simply fill the filter ?
@@tubamanandy2 my metro still runs after 30 years.

with a straight up and down oil filter like that, punch a small hole in center to drain oil neatly
That's a great idea
What’s the washer size for the plug ?
Are you using a low profile jack? Wondering if I really need some boards to get a jack to fit under the Mazda 3 sedan.
Yes this was technically a low profile jack, but not super low. Boards may be necessary!
Good Video sir thank you very much for the help 💪
What is the ID, OD, and material of the crush washer for the drain plug?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
You’re very welcome!
Why didn't you clean off the oil base plate before you put on a new oil filter?
and pre-fill the new oil filter
Oil cover thingy-the screws are 8mm
Thanks for that info!
I would have filled the filter before installing it

If someone does not know how to open their car hood then they should not change the car oil
if someone can’t jack their car up, they shouldn’t open the hood 🤣
