Great match. Good to see you being very aggressive with the anti as well with the twiddling. A lot of anti players stay more defensive which over time gives the opponent enough time to win overall. Great stuff to watch. Keep up the good work.

I am very glad you liked the video! 🙂
The level of players being higher than last year I try to avoid being too passive, otherwise I become too predictable!

Whew! The first two games, it appeared he didn't know how to handle anti. In the last game, you were hanging on for dear life. He was better than I thought in the middle two games.

I had at least 6 match points in the third set. After losing that set I started to make a lot of mistakes. Fortunately in the deciding set I got back into the game by doing the right strategy! 👍😙

    HI,
i see that you play with frictionless anti (abs).
people say that they are very hard to control, but you are doing a great job controlling it :)
did you ever try the anti with friction like nittaku best anti for example?
why did you choose the frictionless ?

You have such a good forehand. I don't think short pips will make you better. We will see. Hope it will add a new dimension to your game...

      Thank you Ryan! :)
I also think short pips do not give me an advantage. I am curious to test them. To get a clear idea, however, I need months of practice with these rubbers! 😵‍💫

Ciao Andrea, alla fine l’hai spuntata tu bravo. Molto equilibrata .

Il discorso puntinata corta...a me affascinano tantissimo.

Thats my experiance too. Last year I tried everything because I had to wait for the permission to play for my new club.
I tried short pimple as well. Nice to hit. No adantage with services. Very hard to make some topspins, because the arrow is so low. And even if you can manage it, my oppents hadn't any problems returning it.
      Same with Anti our LP.
You can use Anti against offensiv players to interrupt them. But they had no problems to attack again, because the spinreversal is very low, no matter what equipment I used. And it was even more difficult against defense players. They where waiting for my Anti strokes and just hit it. So you must know how to twiddle.
LP have more reversal but are difficult to control if you are close to the table and your oppent plays fast strokes.
Finally I managed to got my equipment together (And 4 more raquets that are almost equal :) )
      Why are we doing this:
      BECAUSE IT MAKES FUN!!

Hello Andrea. I was on your channel before already. I see you're about to try short pips, but I don't think it's going to give you any good. Your forehand is good as it is, the pips technique is a bit different. Anyway, good luck with your tryout!

    • @AndreaAschi
      @AndreaAschi  ปีที่แล้ว

Hello! I've had a chance to try short pips for a couple of practice sessions, and I can confirm that I haven't noticed any big advantages to playing with these. As you rightly said the technique is not the same.
I would have to try more combinations and use them for months before making a final judgment! ;)
