It might be because i use polylines at work but i found the tools incredible. I don't understand all the people complaining except for maybe they don't know how polylines work. i do wish there could be an optional toggle to keep the polylines showing so you can see them at all times when editing and some guide markers, lines for distances might be handy.
Hah, yeah, my first job was 3D modelling back in the day, so i guess it comes easier for some. That said Frontier just stopped short of giving us a full 3D editor here.
Finally had the time to watch this and holy shit. I need to redo every single one of my pools now lol. Incredible job laying out this entire tutorial. You’re going places! 🚀
Was not expecting us to be able to have control like this! The possibilities are really endless. Love the tip about multiselecting instead of trying to select the vertices.
What we can do is absolutely amazing... But the tools are not entirely intuitive. I gather thats what they were aiming at though. Keeping things simple for the players that dont want to go down that rabbit hole and just wana splat a pool down and move on, but giving others access to incredibly complex editing for highly intricate pool and scenery manipulation.
Just subscribed. Thanks for actually doing videos like this I learned a lot just in this video. All the people I used to watch have complained so much. And so far this game seems to be miles ahead of the first game. I personally think these people didn't want to relearn the new tools
You are the first to do this with pools, the first to explain it in depth, and to create visuals in video. Be careful, the "popular" content creators are going to steal your ideas, copy and paste in their own videos. Trust me, it's coming. Congrats on being the first, though! 😉
Well thanks, I've found some of the community to be really supportive too though. Rudi and Mineral for example gave me a really nice shout out. I hope to do more videos and let the content do the talking.
Thanks ! Not later than today I thought 'the "extender" is great but there should be a "circular extender tool". Well the circular extensions of your pools illustrates it perfectly ! Such a tool would make it way easier than this circular copy-paste of tiny bands of pools
I mean this is the lord's work. So well done and thx for the great video....... But knowing that my meshes can be messy is potentially going to cripple me going forward haha
Appreciate the tutorial alltough I do not understand how gradually making the pool steeper via a ramp works for pools that are more than one piece in width.

Ist IT possible that the "mesh" is Always paralel to the world grid?
You’re the only creator that brings up the mesh and the underlying structures of the game. It helps SO much! Thank you!
So glad it helped you… exactly why I made them. Thanks!

That's very kind Leaf, and glad it helped. Have enjoyed many of your videos. See you on the flip side.
This is the kind of content I was expecting from Frontier's extremely shallow "Deep Dives". Excellent work! 😃
Thanks Brandon! means a lot. There's so much potential here with these tools.

I know right! So much hidden control :)
thank you for putting this together! really nice demonstration of the tools and their capabilities
@@mineraljunction cheers man! Glad it was useful
I haven't touched pools yet, but this might've been the push I needed to start experimenting a bit. Appreciate your tutorials!
sweet! they can be fiddley but good luck!

@@robertcherman thanks for the sub! Yeah its like anything… change takes time hey.
Good vid, def helps understanding how the pools work after seeing that mesh
Absolutely epic to have this in depth view on the game now. Nerds are awesome, never change..
@@ezekiel1999 haha yeah first grade nerd here
This was insanely helpful in understanding the underlying functionality for pools. Awesome video!
Wow! This is going to change how I build pools from now on. Thanks!
Awesome. Hope they go well. So many possibilities

Thank you! I've been struggling with pools!
So glad it helped!
fantastic video I've been looking for more in-depth info on the pool this is a huge help thank you so much :D
Thanks! glad to have helped.
Mate! What an absolute genius! Thanks for this
Thank you! Part 2 just upped on paths
600th like!! Just used this vid's info for a contest. Love your stuff
@@ryanbaranowski6810 nice! i like
You are a genius!! A million thank yous!!!! What a clear and fantastic tutorial!! 💜💜💜
You are so welcome!

Wow this is incredible!
Fantastic video! can't wait to use all this!
I really hope the pool tools get more intuitive as the game matures. All I wanted to do was change the depth of a custom pool without rebuilding it...
This is really cool, thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
This is fantastic. I learned a ton.
So glad it helped.
Amazing work!
Awesome info! Thanks so much for sharing!!
Awesome work! Great guide thank you.
This is really great too! Thank you!
This helped SO much. Thank YOUUU

With a bit of practice you’ll do fine. Thanks for watching
Amazing stuff thanks for putting in the time on this!
yooo very good videoooo :)))]
This is impressively harder to use than a 3D design software. Frontier hit it out of the park with this one
There's lots of potential all the same with these tools. Takes a bit of tweaking.
Amazing videos, thanks for the tips
You’re welcome! Hope it helps
Brilliant guide! Thank you 👍 Gained a sub here
Thank you so much for the sub. Much appreciated.
amazing stuff.
You never showed the hut tub way??? Love them.
I'll share them on the workshop soon.
Please upload some of those pools on the workshop, I bet they'd be a huge succes!!
Yep i certainly will, i’ll share workshop codes in the next vid… cheers
@tagi3d Thank you!!
Nice tutorial!
AMAZING. Now my only struggle is with the flume platforms, we cant delete lol
Appreciate the tutorial alltough I do not understand how gradually making the pool steeper via a ramp works for pools that are more than one piece in width.
You make the pattern with one width. Then use multi select tool to duplicate those sections and stick them together
Retopology mod when?
Polygon whisperer.
Lol
I love the hot tub, can you make a toturial about hot tubs?
I'll put it and a few other pool based blueprints up on the workshop soon.
😮
Looks like it says "poo!"
This is the first game I've played that makes ne feel that a college course on how to play it is needed.
I guess it depends on how deep you want to go, its all optional at the end of the day
@@tagi3d Didn't feel like going that far. I simply went back to PC1 for the time being.
Why the hack is this possible, but frontier gave us so fiddely tools for it?
Really insightful video, thank you!
@MoominLittlesocks Thank you so much, and I love your content. Have a great day
