I had just discovered Vogt's wonderful interpretations of Brahms and then read about his departure. So grateful for his art and all the recordings he did leave us
Four Pieces for Piano (Klavierstücke) Op. 119 00:05 Intermezzo in B minor 03:47 Intermezzo in E minor 08:32 Intermezzo in C major 10:17 Rhapsody in E-flat major
Probably better - Seymour Bernstein (now 96) tells of playing in an elderly care home as a very young man, where a lady in her late 90s told him she had heard Brahms play at Clara Schumann's funeral. He asked 'How did he play?' - she answered 'terrible - you play much better!'

Che perdita immensa...sia come uomo che come artista! Non ho parole ma credo che adesso suonerà a quattro mani assieme al suo amico Johannes!
Das geht echt unter die Haut... Danke!
Danke Lars

RIP Lars Vogt 1970-2022.
Excelente interpretación. De las mejores!

Awesome.

Lars Vogt last recital
As though Brahms himself played.
Echt?

Not sure if that could be correct. Brahms had the " journey from hell" and only just got to Clara's funeral. I shall search my sources
@@saltburner2I believe he missed the funeral all together. He went in the wrong direction, and by the time he got turned around the funeral was over.
Mein Herz berührt!
R.I.P.
Ich liebe Deine Art zu spielen.
Sehr schoene Interpretation.
