Hats off for Mr. Pramodya, Mr. Kalu & the Co. Gutsy decision to leave non performing rusty experience players Chandimal, Mathews etc. even though Dimuth performing well in ODI thats not his cup of tea. We need gun players who can score over 300-320 plus in every single game as ODI cricket has been changed a lot during past few years so even with Indian bawling attack its hard to defend any total below 300. No point to keep experience players if they not performing well, let them play test cricket where they good at it but white ball cricket nah, they not suitable for current international level. Well-done Mr. Chairman of selector great decision, 1999 Sanath become a SL team captain and he is arguably our best ODI captain with higher winning rate than others with performing him self better than others for wining game single handed, Such a coincidence that his junior model KJP got captaincy 2021 and they both 30 when they got captaincy. Hats off for Mr. Pramodya, Mr. Kalu & the Co. Gutsy decision to leave non performing rusty experience players Chandimal, Mathews etc. even though Dimuth performing well in ODI thats not his cup of tea. We need gun players who can score over 300-320 plus in every single game as ODI cricket has been changed a lot during past few years so even with Indian bawling attack its hard to defend any total below 300.
No point to keep experience players if they not performing well, let them play test cricket where they good at it but white ball cricket nah, they not suitable for current international level.
Well-done Mr. Chairman of selector great decision,
1999 Sanath become a SL team captain and he is arguably our best ODI captain with higher winning rate than others with performing him self better than others for wining game single handed, Such a coincidence that his junior model KJP got captaincy 2021 and they both 30 when they got captaincy.

I like the new approach by Pramodaya, a new start with a new vision to give opportunities to youngsters and get them the experience for the WC. Atleast we can see a strategy of some sort unlike previous guy who was clueless as it gets
