The more I think about it, the more I realize that writing doesn't matter anymore to much of the audience, because much of the audience are adolescents with no real life experience whose only frame of reference for how people act and talk is what they see on netflix or crunchy roll.
I read this comment in the beginning and was like "hmm, what could this person be talking about." - then it got to the Rachel Zegler section around 1:35:00, and I was like "yes please, more ItsAGundam".

They are pretty well protected by parody laws, I can't imagine it would go anywhere. They've done marvel stuff and used Mickey multiple times without issue.
I doubt it. They are already involved in like 4 or 5 lawsuits already including having a full on mutiny with the big shareholders within the company. I don't think South Park is on Iger's mind. Plus they would have to file a cease and desist first that would be quickly thrown out because it's a parody. Now the lawsuit involving Warner Bros. over these special "events" South Park does for Paramount when they have the streaming rights for the TV show will get pretty ugly.

The reason people thought the witches might bring back Darth Maul in Ahsoka is because his mother was the leader of the Nightsisters in Clone Wars. She is the one who revealed in the show that Maul survived his supposed death in The Phantom Menace and could be brought back. The sword the boss lady used against Ahsoka also belonged to Maul's mother. People thought that the Nightsister ability to create zombies (and also the ability to possess bodies) might be a way to bring Maul back again. Also, that Inquisitor dude in the mask that had everyone making up theories of who he could be, before he ended up being a worthless nobody filled with green magic smoke, also made people think they might bring Maul back since he was a zombie but seemed pretty normal and able to talk rather than be a drooling, shambling style of zombie. And one big reason people were interested in Maul coming back is because Lucas wanted Maul to be the main villain in his version of the Sequels. Filoni basically stabbed Lucas in the back by killing off Maul (again) in Rebels, making it impossible to fulfill Lucas's vision for the sequels without "resurrecting" Maul yet again.

I tried watching Az play the Kong game after the show, but something about the framerate or the way the models are shaded was making me physically ill. I've noticed this in a couple of other games as well; 7 Days to Die, for example. I can play for about 20 minutes before my vision starts creeping, and my stomach starts hurting. Took about a minute and a half for that monkey game. And I know it's not something I ate, because it stopped the moment I stopped watching Az's stream.

Game of thrones is more about politics and espionage with real life influences from the Royal families from medieval Europe. The typical post apocalyptic zombie show is like bashing somebody's head in with a bat or a golf club because "humans are worse than the zombies" so they're more important to the show. Let's add some bad drama between the characters so women will watch.
Whatever happened to the version of Echo that had a crazy form of synethesia as her superpower, still deaf, but she could literally "see" sound, and there were a few times in Daredevil stories where the dynamic between her and Matt fighting crime was really pretty interesting. Matt has super senses that help replace his sight, she has super senses that replace her hearing, it was way more interesting. They didn't bring ANY of that to the MCU version of Echo (aside from *maybe* that post credits scene in Hawkeye where she's just standing in front of a bunch of subwoofers, but that was at most, a little nod to the comic character), but i honestly doubt anyone at Marvel is even aware of the version of Echo who had synesthesia. They seem way more concerned about her "native american roots" for extra pander-points, and of course MCU version is also missing a foot. She was always basically a sort or knockoff of Elektra, but at least the synesthesia angle makes her more distinct. I honestly can't remember the name of any specific runs where the synesthesia version of Echo was in, I can remember an issue where she and Daredevil were dealing with a scheme from the Purple Man, and Echo's abilities were drawn and just generally represented in a really interesting way, she wasn't just an angry, deaf chick with one foot who is only slightly good at fighting, like the MCU version. It honestly would've been somewhat hard to represent those synesthesia abilities on screen, it would look like an acid trip, but I mean, they already waste enough on unnecessary CGI, why not do the way more interesting version of the character if they insisted on making that goddamn show? Oh, right....

She was always basically a sort or knockoff of Elektra, but at least the synesthesia angle makes her more distinct.
I honestly can't remember the name of any specific runs where the synesthesia version of Echo was in, I can remember an issue where she and Daredevil were dealing with a scheme from the Purple Man, and Echo's abilities were drawn and just generally represented in a really interesting way, she wasn't just an angry, deaf chick with one foot who is only slightly good at fighting, like the MCU version.
It honestly would've been somewhat hard to represent those synesthesia abilities on screen, it would look like an acid trip, but I mean, they already waste enough on unnecessary CGI, why not do the way more interesting version of the character if they insisted on making that goddamn show? Oh, right....

@@AIRGEDOK A ton of shit actually did the reverse. It made me miss the old stuff. So I got Star Wars OG and Doctor NuWho ending at Smith on disc. Marvel/DC live action went to crap. I wanted more caped stories. Best place I figured try all the older comics. Enjoying Thor, Trying Spiderman/Cap/Hulk. Hooked on Batman/Superman/girl, WW, Batgirl. Trying JLA/Green Lantern. Kickass a total laugh.
