OneDrive Sync Status Icon Explanation

OneDrive is a great tool to sync your files across different devices. The various status icons will let you know if the files are stored on your hard drive or stored online. This is convenient and lets you decide if you want certain files to be kept on your computer, or moved online to free up space.

I don’t see the difference between check with white and green background. Both are available locally. The one with green background is ALWAYS available locally and the one with white background is just available locally ( not always? Under which circumstances is not?)

Ok, but how can I turn off the circle icon that is on every icon on my desktop?

I have got availability status as "error" with a red color-filled circle with a white cross in it. How can I fix it?

Thanks but is there a way to make the checks dissappear on homescreen. I like how i can see it in the file app but i dont really like how it shows on the homescreen

How can i fix my onedrive because i accidently put chrome and microsoft edge in a new folder and when i take out both of them my onedrive says syncing issue and i dont know how to fix it. Thankyou.

Ok so I thought OneDrive was backing up all of my files in their cloud. Is that not the case?

Hi, pls help me, I am using windows 1 1 and one drive is installed and all files are synced but I am not able to see any file online. For example---if you right click on any excel, you get an option VIEW ONLINE, this option is not showing.

I still don't understand what's the difference between check with white background and the one with green background. Since they're both accessible offline without internet.
