This is a complex SCP, and what I love about it, On the one hand, it's a wholesome entity with the potential that gives closure to your loved ones and legacy. On the other hand, it's horrific knowing that you surviving a near death experience might not actually be you, but an amorphous imposter, and neither you nor the being would be aware of it.

And this one takes one job at a time and makes sure people who died can get things in order and be happy when they die. Their families are taken care of and relationships are good. It also acts like the person. Rather than 4999, who is always himself. Hopefully the person they are dying doesn't hurt it. They're both very kind SCPs. They should never be captured.

Because the idea is to protect and contain these SCPs. The SCP can have effects they do not know about in which they need to research and understand. There's many instances of SCPs being harmless but contained, and it's mostly to either understand them, protect the SCP or protect anyone around the SCP.

i honestly think this scp is a good thing. although for many people the idea of having your life lived by an imposter after you died is uncomfortable or upsetting, it’s for the better because it basically IS you. it has all your memories and even seems to develop your personality. it prevents loved ones from grieving over you and will probably make them feel a newfound respect for you by doing so many good things. if i died i would genuinely want this scp to take over.
So basically this SCP does things that most likely the dead person would have wanted after they died. Like seeing old family members, doing favors for other people and paying off debt. It knows its a doppelganger and is fine with it, but it only gets upset when other people are told that person they are possessing died. Because it most likely knows it puts them in distress. The guard one is interesting though. I think that is the actual guard and thats why he was so upset when his family was told he was dead. He's not dead, and the SCP foundation doesn't know that its really him.
I think my favorite thing about Doctor Bob's SCP videos is how he weaves the exploration of the SCP's traits with a coherent narrative. SCPs have always been intended to inspire stories, and so having the more subjective accounts at the beginning is a fantastic way to contextualize the anomalies and make them more relatable.
My take is that in a sense its like the scp "revives" the deceased person temporarily. It May be vaguely aware of the little time it has left and tries to tie all unfinished business. You know how People regret what they havent done when they die. This scp grants you a second chance to do so. For example getting the Will ready. Its a fascinating concept

They never specify that it's an event though. It's not like you're reincarnated. It's not your same consciousness. And if souls exist, then it wouldn't be your soul piloting the copy of your body.
SCP-069 is just an exact copy. It's like an identical twin that has your memories uploaded into its brain like software. And it's not exactly the same personality. You forget the "strong desire to put your life together" aspect of SCP-069's disposition. That's still a difference.

If a person has the same look, DNA, personality, voice, and memories of the original, then who’s to say they’re not truly that person?
Mostly cuz of the fact when the instance rapidly decays and remanifests somewhere else. If it was a random thing that affects people, it’s not an individual entity but an anomalous effect that can’t be contained. This seems to suggest it is one entity, giving people a second chance, but is still not the original person

i honestly think this scp is a good thing. although for many people the idea of having your life lived by an imposter after you died is uncomfortable or upsetting, it’s for the better because it basically IS you. it has all your memories and even seems to develop your personality. it prevents loved ones from grieving over you and will probably make them feel a newfound respect for you by doing so many good things. if i died i would genuinely want this scp to take over.
So basically this SCP does things that most likely the dead person would have wanted after they died. Like seeing old family members, doing favors for other people and paying off debt. It knows its a doppelganger and is fine with it, but it only gets upset when other people are told that person they are possessing died. Because it most likely knows it puts them in distress.
The guard one is interesting though. I think that is the actual guard and thats why he was so upset when his family was told he was dead. He's not dead, and the SCP foundation doesn't know that its really him.
Scp069 is kinda like a nice and friendly guy because he smiles acts like friendly human and doesn’t kill and make people happy!
So the SCP just try’s to make you a better person and not make people sad.

I think my favorite thing about Doctor Bob's SCP videos is how he weaves the exploration of the SCP's traits with a coherent narrative. SCPs have always been intended to inspire stories, and so having the more subjective accounts at the beginning is a fantastic way to contextualize the anomalies and make them more relatable.
My take is that in a sense its like the scp "revives" the deceased person temporarily. It May be vaguely aware of the little time it has left and tries to tie all unfinished business. You know how People regret what they havent done when they die. This scp grants you a second chance to do so. For example getting the Will ready. Its a fascinating concept
