Is nepali folk sarangi and bengali sarinda same instrument ?

Yes, there are strong similarities. Differs when an instrument goes one place to another and is played with different musical history. The changes in the structure of instrument happen very organically.

Saranda ia not musical instrument of Bengal. It was invented by the Sikh Gurus is Punjab. Pls get the facts right

Hope you are not mixing Sarangi with Sarinda. These two are different but.
But yes, this kind of musical instruments are there everywhere in different forms. The Sarinda projected here is very similar to an instrument being played in hills but quite modified in Bengal with the feel and tone prevails here.

@@kaahonkommunications yes I am sure and not confusing Sarangi with Saranda. I know exactly what a Saranda and Sarangi is. Saranda has its roots in Punjab, you will find it in history, however it may have been subjected to changes by some people from other provinces causing them to designate the Instrument as theirs.
