Worked at customer service/sales for a massive company. But they were swapping over entirely to digital service so they can rip off extra money on couriers, so it was the only physical office in the entire capital. The number of times I had cops called on me over something a customer themselves did is ridiculous.

I would rather be snuggled by a cheetah, than mauled by a lion.

8:39 I would like to add that meerkats are not a minor issue if they escape. They can be very invasive and damaging to the local ecosystem, which is why there are extra measures in place to keep them from escaping their enclosure.

I live right between 2 large zoos here in the PNW and I occasionally do volunteer work there. They definitely do not get paid enough for the bs they go through.

To be fair the "panda"-dog was cute.
If they actually advertised them as panda-dog for a petting zoo, you know for the little kids....yeah go and do that.
Its a good idea and i can see 5 years old having a blast playing with a friendly "panda"-dog.

In Sweden at Kolmården Zoo there were (possibly still might be, I cant remember) moose in captivity! Sad part is they don’t get enough attention considering how majestic they are.

We got mooses in zoos here but then again they live wild here so that might be why

The only way you can beat a gorilla is to be an armored lizard with nuclear breath...

I've done customer service on the front line for two decades. I understand what you mean. We both look quite a bit alike, tbh, and I think we have a "try me" expression by default, but for some reason people take us up on that WAY too often for their own health and safety.

I can't recall any moose's in a regular zoo but in my country there are several dedicated "Älg Parker" aka Moose Parks.
Favorite animals tend to be Wolfs and big cats and I do have a particular memory of a Brown Bear in a drive through exhibit and how it walked up and used the front of our car to scratch it's rear...

I'd been to zoos and I'd watched TV, but I was an adult when I first saw a gorilla up close. A big male was sitting with his back against the glass of the inside part of the enclosure. My first thought was that I have uncles about that size. The sort of guys who get bored, so they see who can push over the biggest tree. Just as I started to wonder if it was just a guy in a costume, the gorilla dug a booger out of his nose and extruded about three inches of lip to suck it off his finger.
As for a favorite animal to visit, I don't know if I can pick on. There are fun memories of a bunch of animals, like watching a blind catfish use one of its feelers to keep track of where the surface was. Or the time at the country fair in the conservation building when a fish tried to commit suicide by jumping out of the little pond in the middle of the floor. I ducked under the yellow rope and scooped it back into the water. Then I had a fun conversation with the guy working the conservation booth a few feet away.
