How to find what sells on Redbubble | Print On Demand niche research

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 16 ส.ค. 2024
  • In this video, I show you how to find what sells on Redbubble using a free niche research tool. You can find a popular niche that sells well and has low competition by analysing the popular tags and how they vary from week to week. This niche research can also help inform your decision making for other Print On Demand websites like Amazon Merch once you recognise rising trends from the tags being used. Please take the time to listen to me explaining how to use it to get the best results!
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
    ⚫ Redbubble Popular Tags
    ► redbubble.dabu...
    The niche research tools helps you better understand what's popular on Redbubble and how popular tags vary from week to week. By looking at the information displayed, you can easily determine which tags gained popularity in the last 7 days. You're also able to see the number of results for each tag, which helps you evaluate a niche. Popularity indicates the popularity of a tag, as provided by Redbubble. A lower value means the tag is more popular. Popularity Δ shows the variance in popularity of each tag, compared to the previous week. Results indicates how many artworks contain a certain tag. It isn't real time - it's generated once a week. Results Δ shows the variance in results for each tag, compared to the previous week.

      How many designs should we make in a particular niche?

    • @PassiveOwl
      @PassiveOwl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      How long is a piece of string? 🤷🏼‍♂️ Impossible to say as there are so many variables I’m afraid. If it’s a broad niche with a lot of options then you might be able to do loads, but maybe not... My advice if you’re new is to target many different niches and see what works. You can then do further research into what was successful to see if there’s room for expansion later on🤞

      Teespring operates a bit differently to the ones that I normally talk about. It depends on your target market I suppose. I make a few sales now and then on Teespring but my results aren't amazing. There are some people who are really making a fortune on it though. It tends to be people that organise their own marketing campaigns using paid ads. So in summary, it is a good POD if you make it work for you. In my opinion, it's harder to be successful when compared to Redbubble and Amazon.

Just a question, if the first column, which represents the popularity, the lower number means more popular, then in the second column (popularity change), when you see a negative number, does it mean the number has decreased, meaning gaining of popularity? Or means only lose of popularity? I am a bit confused on that. Thanks.

      I'm a bit cautious about advising on this because I've seen conflicting info recently from people saying they got banned for having multiple accounts under the same info, but then again there are others who have had no problem, even with the same PayPal address for payout. There seems to be no solid answer that I'm comfortable giving!

    *Full silly question* (I'm new in this)
    If you make to make a good tshirt and someone orders from you, are you the one who take it the full responsibility to send it( printing, courier) or does redbuble take this responsibility?

    • @PassiveOwl
      @PassiveOwl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don’t worry there are no silly questions :) once you’ve put the design on, you don’t do anything else other than collect the profits every month. Redbubble do the printing, sending, and customer service!

    How do you check for intellectual property theft or infringement?

    • @PassiveOwl
      @PassiveOwl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Put what you plan on using in here: www.uspto.gov/trademarks-application-process/search-trademark-database

  • @dedgalo877
    @dedgalo877 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I do have a question related to trade marks. It's very direct so I hope it doesn't give you too much trouble (if you do reply).
    Imagine the phrase "United we stand" just that, it originates from a Greek storyteller from 6th century but if paste it on TESS it will appear a ton of both, exact sentence and others not so exact. Does this mean that it cannot be used on any merch with commercial intent ? Also, sometimes I search a keyword and results appear, but any matching what I wrote, does that mean it's intellectual property of those enterprises ?
    Thank you a lot ! Also this video was useful i had already heard about that tool but you explained it really well, I appreciated it!

    • @PassiveOwl
      @PassiveOwl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If someone has registered the exact sentence "united we stand" and it lists the usage as t-shirts/print/design then I'd stay away from it. If it doesn't have that, you could use it but make sure you keep checking back because the registration might expand in the future. Personally, I'd probably leave it just for peace of mind that my design isn't going to get taken down. If you search for a keyword and results appear but they don't match the phrase exactly then again it could be okay to use, but there are so many variables. You have to check whether the registration is live, what it applies to, etc. Annoying, but has to be done, especially for Merch by Amazon.

    if you had a design that said the name of copyright material is that all right, say i had a design that said "I Love Stranger Things" would that be okay?

    • @PassiveOwl
      @PassiveOwl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Using the term “Stranger Things” would be copyright infringement unfortunately. That’s not to say people aren’t doing it. You’ll find hundreds/thousands of those sort of designs online. But technically it’s not allowed.

      Hi Abuzar. For this thumbnail, I outsourced the job to someone on Fiverr. I have a link in my description at the bottom. You can then just search for “TH-cam thumbnail” and find plenty of people waiting to do the job. The artwork wasn’t made by the Fiverr designer but is free use.
