Omg ty much for making this video. Im trying to figure out what to take from Rome to Genoa and Venice to Rome and I was getting so confused by what to pick. Your video really helped 👍
Actually Trenitalia operates also Pendolino trains, such as the Frecciarossa Etr600. The interiors change from one to another type of Frecciarossa. The Etr600 again has almost the same interior design as Italo Etr675, but then we have also the FR Etr700, Etr500, Etr400 (1000) and they all look different. Many trains are often late, that’s true, but in the vast majority of cases they just don’t exceed 10 minutes delays. Anyway they are a safe and easy way to travel around the country 😉
Try Frecciaargento first class or as they say “Prima classe” I loved it and you had a premium experience but recline as well as a 1-2 configuration which is great 👍 plus free food and drinks and leather seats vs cloth in 2nd you also get a foot rest as well 🥳
Great video. I've tried the frecciarossa from Bologna to Firenze in business in June 2022. Was happy with the seat, but the service was so slow that I had to go and find it as the journey was only 1 hour and a bit... Got water and snacks when I explained to the guy that our stop is coming up and have not yet had the service...
@@franceskinskij Maybe it was then when the highspeed track was closed. I had the same problem, my train was then so hard delayed that I missed the last connection in Milano to Zürich. It was also in June 2022
Thank you! This cleared up so much confusion when you broke down the different classes and the prefix for the faster trains. On italo's high speed train, is there a stop in the FCO airport in Rome or do I have to get to Roma Termini before taking the train to Naples? Its hard for me to determine how much time I need from the time I arrive in Rome (from the USA) at 11:30 am., so that I can book my train ticket in advance.
Glad it helped! Unfortunately no, you will need to take a separate train out to FCO. Completely understand the issue of picking the right one (had the same thing happen in Spain recently). The regular tickets you can change the time for only 20% fee. Or, you can book a “flex” ticket that allows free changes. So you can book a train with plenty of time, and change to an earlier one.
Great video! I'm still deciding weather it's better for me to fly to Rome and then take the train to Naples or fly firstly to Milan and then fly again to Naples. (Flying through milan with ryanair is the cheapest option currently)
so when you arrive in Malpensa you will spend around 90€ in taxi and 15 for train to Milano Centrale, flying from Milano to Roma for tourists is a waste of time.
@Lorre982 while I completely agree, you can take the Malpensa Express train for a fraction of that amount, and find yourself directly to the Milan Central Station
@@TravelogI think he was annoyed by the numerous inaccuracies (you were on the wrong train), then the ridiculous music from "Italia, pizza e mandolino" didn't help :)
I was on the 500 for the first two legs, correct. But the seats and service aren’t the same. Initially I was just going to do the 1000 in business, but thought the comparison might be helpful. It’s just me taking real trips, I can’t cherry pick every train/plane!
@@franceskinskij this video shows the interior of the old etr 500. Even when it gets into the premium class the train is not a modern Frecciarossa 1000, but a train at least 20 years old.
Was robbed in business class of Frecciarosa from venice to milan. No CCTV. Train master was rude. Police complaint filed. Trenitalia not responding to my claim for compensation:
The reason why all the trains were late was because of a national strike, you really chose the WORST day to do this video ahah... usually they are on time. :')
You’re partially right, but I took 8 trains over 1.5 weeks, and every single one (including local trains) was late. In part it was an accident in the tunnel south of Rome. I wasn’t aware of a strike, but it’s Europe in the summer so that’s expected. Then I guess it was time for an aperol spritz. All I can do is report what I see!
@@flopi04lp96 Last month, many times I checked and trenitalia said there would be a 5 LANDS EXPRESS 22923 train from Vernazza to La Spezia Centrale on March 24 at 13.46. I checked their website ten minutes ago and the train was still there, but then I refreshed the page and the train was gone...what just happened? Lol. Then I set the date to April and the train was there again (scheduled at 13.46, every half hourly). This won't be my first trip to Italy but this is the first time I witnessed a train timetable vanished before my eyes in just a few minutes. Will there be a 13.46 train on March 24, or not? Lol. My plan was to take this train and have a 10 minute transit at La Spezia Centrale before catching the 14.15 train to Pisa Centrale.
Depends. For your luggage, sure. But I show a clip of the rack being full with of ton of Americans with huge suitcases. Still I doubt it will be a problem.
#trenitalia ....I lost my trust in you . Travelled venice to Milan in business class . Lost my luggage. Personnel were unhelpful. Lost precious vacation time filing report with Italy police. Sent everything by post . Haven't heard yet from Trenitalia. You cannot offer me security in your business class. Shame on you !!!
Sorry but I' ve got to point out to the not great quality of this video. Regional trains have always delays in all countries ( except Japan😄) due to some evident reasons ev'ryone should know and HS trains delays in Italy are as rare as people's mature attitude ( true fact, just check about). Quite strange that you got into the wrong tunnel and picked 8/8 trains, HS comprehensive, on late ! It's been years since I've been hearing or reading someone complaining about the punctuality of HS trains in Italy, and they come & ride' em from all over the world, so you are really the unluckiest man on earth...:-) !
You're right about the quality, this is a pretty old video shot on an iphone, and I'd like to think things have improved in the years since. Not sure why the algorithm is pushing this one and not others. On the trains being late, what can I say, I have bad luck. I have 8 reviews of Air Canada, and every single one has been late (even with 60% on time that shouldn't happen). And yes, I got back from Japan this month, a Nozomi was 2 minutes late, a Kodoma 4 minutes late, and my train in from Kansai was 30 minutes late due to issues with the electrical wires. So I'm clearly the bad luck here!
So in the title he puts Frecciarossa 1000 but then he shows a 500 which is much older. Then he's so unlucky to get all the trains with a delay, and even 8 minutes is something to talk about. Just a piece of advice, instead of making a useless video, btw now i do understand why people do not subscribe to your incredible (sic) and detailled (sic sic) reviews, why don't you just remain in your country...or maybe go to Japan when i'am sure trains are on time by the millisecond and perhaps you can complain about the sushi?! Serious boy, stay home, you really don't know what you're talking about lol.

La recensione è molto imprecisa, si parla di frecciarossa 1000, quando in realtà nei primi due casi si tratta di un vecchio etr 500.
vero, ma i sedili sono gli stessi. la maggior parte della recensione è sul 1000.

Does all the seats have a window that is on the window side? I saw some videos and I noticed there was a wall .
What is the arrows special in regards to trenitalia
Italo's ETR 675 is one of the few non-tilting Pendolino trains so it could just be a matter of having a smoother ride quality.
Italo usa ASTOM
