A little late. I worked on the video early yesterday, but got lost in the editing and when it came time to upload after rendering, It was so late. With that said, The Ministry storyline was very entertaining, a box office draw but there was some problems with the way they executed the Higher Power storyline. I had fun making this video and definitely look forward to the next Attitude Era videos such as Rock/HHH. What did you think of the Corporate Ministry?
@@terrancecarmichael619 yea 2000 was great I cant really think of many memorable matches frm 1999 but 2000, hhh vs cactus jack (rumble and no way out), angle vs rock (no mercy), hardy's vs Dudley's vs e&c ( TLC summerslam, wrestlemania 2000 ladder match) , hardy's vs Dudley's ( table match at the rumble), hhh vs rock ( backlash, judgement day), etc
Always loved how Austin/Undertaker began at the end of a First Blood match between Austin and Kane at King Of The Ring and then ended with a First Blood match at Fully Loaded a year later.
The Corporate Ministry was actually one of my favorite factions soley based off Nostalgia. nWo is my favorite and other factions like The Nation, DX, etc... are better but CM always had a soft spot for me. I not only remember watching 1999 but I vividly remember where I was and who I was with. I started in 96 97 but 99 was my year.

Jake Roberts unfortunately in 1999 couldn’t even spell ‘Higher Power’ let alone be trusted with such a big role in the biggest storyline of the biggest year in WWF history at that point.
As look into the past of wwe the more I realize Vince ending storylines too soon was he specialty. There was no reason to merge the corporation and ministry. And Vince as the higher power was just dumb.
The undead supernatural lord of darkness the Undertaker and his ministry of darkness just didn't fit well with the corporate stuff of Vince, Shane and the corporation during the corporate ministry time period and the Undertaker and his ministry was also a bit sidelined at that time because things mostly became about the McMahons and their issues with Austin. Vince McMahon perfectly fits in the role of the higher power better than anyone but it really created some plot holes and confusion in the storyline and it also undid some things between Undertaker and Vince like during this whole time Vince is the victim of the Undertaker's unholiness and dark magic but then Vince himself turns out to be the guy who told the Undertaker to do that to him so they could execute a weird plan of luring and screwing stone cold and fool the audience. But still, the Undertaker's ministry era was phenomenal especially before it's merger with the corporation and the Undertaker's look, the very long hair, the clean pale face with just a goetee on the chin and the gothic outfits was just phenomenal.
Everytime I see that reveal as Vince being the higher power and jr's reaction to it I laugh Everytime the corporate ministry had potential but it just became too much like a Saturday morning cartoon show
People can say what they want upon certain roles that Taker took on but no one can deny how he put his all into all of them and retained kayfabe for over 30 years

The Corporate Ministry should have never Happened even Undertaker Hated it Ministry Undertaker was Over Even though he was a heel And Having Vince McMahon As The Higher Power Sucked they Could've done the Higher Power without the Corporate Ministry Forming.

I pose the question often - would you really wanna see Undertaker kneeling to Ted Dibiase or any of those other possibilities for the next few months? Having it be Vince allowed them to start putting away the supernatural stuff in favor of what would be the beginning of the best era of WWF/E. If they had a “stronger” choice for the Greater Power we would have had more months of lightning and sacrifices. Which were cool but it was becoming WAY over spent. It had been over a year of supernatural boogeymen. Even Taker was restless and wanted to move on. Having it be Vince was it saying “we’ve concluded that season of the show and now we’re soft rebooting”. Considering the year that followed I think we ended up doing okay.
Maybe 3 or 4 times Vince McMahon during 1999 would do commentary Jerry The King Lawler would welcome him back and Jim Ross and Vince McMahon would bring heat
1 Thursday night in 1999 I watched a wrestling show and Undertaker burned a teddy bear then the next week 1 hour of a new show of Monday Night Raw and then the previous week of Undertaker burning the teddy bear again.
