    I've had these for 18 months now and used these heavily, 3-6 classes a week ranging from 1-3 hours. These gloves are very soft and large for 14oz's. I noticed my right hand (I'm orthodox) the padding is more compacted & depressed than my left. I've also noticed the fingertips on the faux leather starting to deteriorate. Overall happy for what I paid. I feel like these can stand up to 3-4 year's of heavy use. Great for sparring since it's so pillowy & soft. Never had a soaring partner complain.

      @@demonitized1020 It's been eleven months since you made this comment so ill assume you already made your choice but ill add in my two cents anyways.
      I go on the back for about thirty minutes 3-4 times a week, and have been doing so for 4 months, my gloves still look pretty clean with some dirt marks on the knuckles, not sure if that's from the bag, or something dropped on them when i wasn't looking. They hold up fine, my main complaint about them, is their wrist section is pretty wide probabbly intentionally so they can sell to a wider audience, both thick and thin wrists. But in my opinion it's to wide so if your like me and have dainty wrists, you will notice they tend to jiggle to much, better for guys with thick wrists. Which is why im now glove shopping again to see if there is anything that solves that issue.

    Just got mine and I love them. Same color..16oz...The quality and look. I’m just starting boxing classes, so have not really broke them in much. Only a few private lessons and a group class. When these wear down, I’ll definitely be upgrading to one of their other quality gloves. The wraps that came with them are nice as well.

    For sure my T3 does bounce despite it being 5 layers and can often “mute” the feedback. After several years of hard use, the gloves look new, but the padding has permanently become compressed giving it that “puncher” style feel. Lost almost all of its “knuckle” protection but in returned gained some punch feedback.

    Tried my co workers pair that he had for some years while at the gym. I’m 5’4 140 so I assumed I would need a small in most gloves as I train in 12oz due to my hands and wrist being small. his gloves are a large but were a bit difficult to put in. Once in they felt very secure(I feel a medium might be best).
    Now punching the bag I was able to just dig in with hard short & long right hooks and no wrist pain what so ever. The only issue is I can’t feel that punching impact at all as the padding on the knuckle is pretty full. I use typical Everlast elite gloves & while not durable I can atleast feel my punches. With the S4 it felt like it bounces off a bit. Overall good glove if you have wrist/knuckle problems.

    Thanks for posting this man I really appreciate it. You said these gloves have sort of a bounce when you throw your punches and one of the things I like when I’m sparring is to be able to feel that immediate snap back reaction. And the S4 gloves I looked at online I didn’t notice they had the velvet type thumb closure. Would that have any affect at all when I’m sparring with these gloves? And do you still think these would be good gloves for sparring that’s at a reasonable price say around $75 and under

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They would be decent sparring gloves, the suede thumb wouldnt have any effect on sparring, its just there to wick away moisture.

    Perhaps bouncy for you but what about a weaker person just starting out? I'm thinking that that extra little bounce might help with enforcing quick rebound muscle memory? Looking for some wrist safe gloves for my wife, just starting out and then caught my eye because of the wrist splint and support. $50 bucks is the limit so didn't see much less out there that comes in girl colors and is not a complete piece of junk

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The bouncy-ness is a personal “feel” with the glove. I prefer gloves that are more absorbing and give more crack rather than bounce back feeling. As far as rebounding and muscle memory, this won’t help the individual pull their punch back as far as they throw it, that’s just fundamentals of boxing that becomes habitual regardless the gloves you wear. I think this would be a good starting point for her in regards to the prerequisites.

    Was it normal for my middle knuckle to hurt like a bitch when i tried these out? Despite the foam being soft snd the interior bring squishy and compact, it hurt my knuckes a helluva lot more than my Everlast Powerlocks which are significantly thinner in foam density

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s probably because of how stiff the molded foam is at first. It has a more curved shape that isn’t as broken in or pliable as multi layer/ latex style foams. So sometimes you do get the knuckle paint once it’s broken in. I’m personally not a fan of molded foam because of this reason and the fact that the feedback isn’t as good as layered foam.

      Not a fan of them. They're good for $30-$40, id say as good as some $50-$60 gloves but they do not compare in quality and feel to premium gloves in the $80-$120 range. They're probably fine for begginers but the pair i bought had some shoddy stitching in places and also a weird smell. Not super great wrist support either if I'm honest

Did you spread your hand? Because I'm getting all kinds of measurements from my index to my pinky. • @lewisjones284
      @lewisjones284 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1: this one is more for your thumb, but slow bag work making sure that your wrist is completely flat. Your wrist and knuckles should be a flat line to ensure even distribution of force.
      2: train it SLOW. Wherever you are, hit something slow with low power, and ensure that you’re punching at an angle where your index knuckle hits first. That’s all there is to it. If you can’t hit it slow, you can’t hit it fast. It’ll all iron out with proper training.

      16oz fit extremely tight compared to the RDX gloves I bought, most likely because of the bottom elastic. They're nearly impossible to put on if I'm wearing wraps and if I had planned on keeping these I'd probably snip one of that bottom elastics.

    Hey man, did you have a crazy break in time on these? I've done 2 1 hour sessions so far with mine and I've have to switch back to my ever lasts both times because my knuckles have hurt like hell. Is that normal, or am I just a bitch?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the foam definitely takes time to break in because of the molded foam. Not a fan of molded foam because of how stiff they are from the beginning and the break in period
