I haven't done a mile-a-minute in about 40 years , so this will really be fun. I saw the one on your rocking chair on Wednesday and hunted thru your videos to find it and all I needed to do was watch the rest of Wednesday podcast , which is what I finally did . Could have saved an hour , but the other videos were great also .
Can’t wait! I love the mixture of yarns brought together by the simple white. Makes it funky and fun without going too crazy. I often saw those yarns and was never sure how I could use them in a way I like... until now! Yay!
Christa, pretty colors. Cant wait, have learned so much from you & absolutely love urtutorials, way to understand, easy to follow u r so patient especially w/new to crochet like me. Thanks so much 4 ur time, patience, tutorials u t amazing teacher. Have truly enjoyed an crochet has helped me a lot. Blessings & continue success. Sending hugs & love from Nevada, USA. 💕💜💜😘
I've been meaning to make a mile a minute baby blanket for ages, but just haven't got "a round tuit"! 😉 Time to add in another fun crochet project!! 😆😆 Woo hooooooo!! 👍💛💙💜 Looks like I'm gonna have about 4 WIPs soon!!! 😉 I used to be a 1 WIP girl, but since watching you, Christa, my life has changed!!😉😆😂Thanks for all your work doing tutorials & the thankless tedious job of editing for us! 👏💜💙💛💙💜You're a gem!!💕🐨
Hi Christa can't wait for the cal so excited to do my baby blanket I'm going to use the bag of mixed bright coloured yarns that my son bought me , his way of telling me I was going to be a grandma 💖and use white to join , thank you 😊Amanda xx
Hello Christa, I can't wait for this Mile a Minute CAL 😁 I have been staring at your beautiful blanket on your chair for a while 😁 thank you in advance 😋💙 I will watch it now 😀 Erica x
OH MY GOSH. My first Mile a Minute blanket will be the Lorena worsted one!!! Ordered my yarn yesterday! Yessiree! I can’t wait Christa!!! So excited! 😘
I've been looking for a way to bring my stash under control and this cal really ticks all the boxes. This will be my summer project, ideal for my restricted free time on the farm. Thank you so much
Looking so foward to the mile a minute Cal.... I have my yard ready to go.. I have a chair that so needs the mile a minute throw complete with dongals.😊
oh my goodness ... that would be perfect for over the back of my little wicker couch on the deck at my she camper ... 'camp sunshine' lol ... I'm following along too! Donna
Oh and FYI....you got me thinking about ice coffees again. I make mine in my nutribullet (cheating) and soooo much foam. Saves my arms for crocheting! Xx
Hi there, I bought 85% cotton 15% polyester yarns in 3 colours to crochet a mile a minute bedspread for my queen size bed. My problem is each one of my first three strips vary in length. However each FIRST finished length of "1st pat of pattern" has 144 rows. How on earth are they all in different lengths. I am so disappointed. I hope someone can assist me. Tx Sue
Love the mile a minute blanket so cute. When my son and his brother from another mother was at home they use all the scissors and lose them my tape for what was beyond me and if I had super glue or even my nail glue Philip glue his fingers together and my pens he took the center out and when I needed 1 I could not write drove me nuts at one point I said to Sammy my son why aren't you watching him. Both drove me up a wall. They run around up stairs down. Someone going to fall and hurt themselves I yell. I miss all that now. 💋💋💜💜✌
Ah...FUN, I want to do Simply Soft Brites, with a bright white... or how about a bunch of bright striped, with white... or jewel tones with grey or black.,, So many choices. My first one just might be a mixed bunch of yarn from my stash. Oh..,.,I can see a great little blanket for over a car seat, to keep a little one warm.
Hi Crystal I do a lot shopping from hobbii & as yet I haven't had a yarn I didn't like, just received my wool for felting called Snowstorm & I'm quite happy with it. Yes I agree the shipping time frame is long but the postage price is a draw card for me to Aussie, between Hobbii & Hobium my yarn collection is growing lol. Loving your video's. Cheers Sandy
Diane, I mostly use an Aussie acrylic 4 ply for baby blankets..... which I think is about a 2 weight in the USA? I find it's best using a 4 to 5 mm hook. I think for the mile a minute I'll use a 5mm hook with my 4 ply yarn. Hope that helps. 💕🐨
Help Needed! Hello,...I recently started a M.A.M. Calendar Crochet Along with another popular Crochet tuber... I am using the exact same brand/type/weight of yarn...the only difference is the color so that each strip is a different color; I am using the exact same hook for the entire project as well; Each month's row is the same amount of rows (78 rows), but a different crochet stitch...it is join as we go project using the shell stitch, which will be the border as well, surrounding each month's row, as well as the outside. So here is the issue: January turned out beautiful, 78 rows of the shell stitch, then February's was the V Stitch, 78 rows as well... BUT Feb. row is about 14 inches shorter than January. The online comments were to join as instructed and it will work out...NOPE! So Feb. strip is 14 inches too short, whether it is single, or joined... comments for this were mixed...for some people, it worked out fine, for others a 'bit' off but they made it work...for me and others...14 - 18 inches difference in length, no matter what we do... the instructor's worked out fine... I triple checked everything...and re did the strips 2x over..but still has made no difference. Tension: may have a small effect overall, but not 14 inches worth of tension...I am a 'normal' tension crocheter... Any ideas of why this would happen? I am esp. interested to know why it would happen to a group of us, and their comments are the same as per using all ONE same yarn and one same hook and are off by many many inches...not just a quick tug and fix for being 1 inch off... and for some, it worked out perfectly,...that is very curious indeed!
I love the giant polka dot blanket what is it called and is there a pattern? And I love the new CAL coming out gonna make it as a cover for my rocking chair
I picked up a partially-complete mile-a-minute afghan from eBay a year or so ago (the strips are completed, but not joined). Perhaps if I were to join the strips (and maybe do a bit of fiddling with the joining/border yarn to make sure all the strips are the same length) and add a simple border, that could be a lazy woman's way of participating in the CAL?
I haven't done a mile-a-minute in about 40 years , so this will really be fun. Christa. I only have 4 ply acrylic yarn. Can i use this ? Can i use the 7 mm hook?
Diane Sharpe Diane.. You can use any weight yarn Yiu like, along with any hook that works for you... Have fun!

Hi, Diane Sharpe!! YES - the ladies are right! Use what you have with the hook that goes along with it. :D
PS: THANKS ladies!! You rock. xx!!

Hi, question. If you order nite then 6 packs does shipping go up or you need to order a min of 6 and it's 20 for everything your ordering?
how is everybody already starting this? I cant find it in the videos.
So, is this where I can comment during the love videos, too?
