Everything that could go wrong regarding preparation for gutting this lock went wrong, lol. Still, I got there in the end! 💪😃👍 Go check out the picking of this cool lock over on my main channel, here: th-cam.com/video/TMmZxdxJWFA/w-d-xo.html
Oh, that explains the swollen thumbs and late night exhaustion! Good texting, given all this! Great demo of the patience and persistence required when one really gets into this hobby. Someone gave me a box full of Schlage primus cylinders and keys - entirely disassembled, and not matched up. I am still trying to get the 6 complete lock sets with 2 keys each put together from the pieces. Maybe by Easter.
Yeah I agree, it's enough to discourage gutting on locks like these. I think I'll stick to gutting the simpler locks and will keep from having a " Forget You" bucket of partly assembled locks.
That was a nightmare to reassemble just by watching this one, but you cracked it in the end, well done sir! You even managed to have the mandatory spare bit left over at the end as well Lol. I really enjoyed this video and I really do appreciate you bringing these things to our attention, once again Thank You ;-)
Maybe I missed something, In the first part of the video you had all the pins in (with the front follower) and then realized you couldn't do it that way because of the check pin and made some pugs to use from the back. My question is why did you take the front follower out and then re-pin the lock again when you could have just left the lock pinned up and as you push the rear follower pugs in you move the front follower out?
My thought, FWIW, was that he was doing this live, was a bit frustrated, and he didn't think of inserting the plugs in the way you're suggesting soon enough. With hindsight, it looks like a better thing to have done.

Sometimes it just take a little jiggery pokery! Glad you got it back together without any broken windows!😂
As suspected, a 'fun' re-assembly. 'You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!' comes to mind. Thanks for doing it so that we don't have to. 🙂👍

I do not envy you!!
You did a great job with that little nightmare. And not even a bleep! Quite a lot of good info on technique and patience (HUGE amounts patience).
There was a lot of swearing afterwards lol
I seriously don't know how you put this lock back together. I do not processed your kind of skills and patience. Well done brother. Hats off to ya.

I just made it more efficient lol
Good video, I learned from it.
I have never seen segment followers before so glad I cane to your 2nd channel.
Thanks 🙏
WOW an impressive performance. Very fiddly especially on camera.
All the very best to you and yours 👍 👍 👍 🍻
And you!
Great video as always!

It’s a fair question, and I honestly don’t know the answer. Panic most probably 😅😅
@@sidenoob4995 You're not alone. 😉
