    QA1 is just killin' it these days. That kit is big news for the Ford guys, prior to that all we had were dropped I beams and the excellent but too wide Crown Vic setup.

    FANTASTIC video. This is truly the most simple way to replace that twin I-beam suspension. Planning on using this for a 67 F100.

    Pretty slick. I'm looking for something like this for my '59 f100. I honestly don't understand why everyone wants to replace the twin I-beam setup though. Just putting in fresh springs, struts and bearing components really freshens up the ride. I'm actually thinking about using someone's cast aside twin I-beam setup on my truck.

    Great job. So, here's my question. I have a 1978 2WD F150, single cab/long bed. Love this suspension package but want to actually raise front ride height about two inches over stock so its even with the back. Definitely don't want to lower the vehicle at all. Can you make this happen with the QA1 suspension? What height are you now at versus original?

    • @GrenadeMotorsports
      @GrenadeMotorsports  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This dropped the whole truck about 4 inches. But- if you want to keep the center of gravity higher than stock, there's no point in going for all this expensive QA1 stuff. Get some taller front springs in your setup, some really good shocks, rebuild everything and you'll save a ton of time and money. QA1 stuff is for street/race car handling. Thanks for watching!

      Thanks for watching- The hubs and brake assemblies that I have on there now- they're for a 79-81 Camaro and they work perfectly because the QA1 front spindles are exactly molded from original GM parts. That’s what I was informed of!! Were you able to find a kit that retained the factory 5x5.5 bolt pattern and stock wheel clearance? Thank you for the help!

      @@GrenadeMotorsports That's my luck , watched a video using 73-79 spindle rotors and calipers swapped to a 66 f100 (my project). Haven't started yet just making plans.

    Yeah...but it's not all Ford...why design it on a Chevrolet platform...why not a Ford?

      It's all Ford except the spindles and brake calipers. Because- they (GM camaro brakes) had the most powerful compact braking system of the easily duplicatable era. Thanks for watching!
