I agree that statement about Itachi stronger that Orochimaru is a joke. I mean Itachi can beat Oro, because of genjutsu. But guess what, he probably can beat anyone without sharingan(or any other resistance to genjutsu). So now what? We say that he stronger that Minato, Hashirama. Of course not. Ora is way stronger, but his abilities are just not suits to fight Itachi
The sharingan amp’s physical stats and gives you precog + other abilities. If Itachi didn’t have the sharingan he wouldn’t be close to the level we saw him get too.

Being a strong in naruto involves being able to deal to complex moves being physically stronger isnt enough, if that was the case choji, sakura and tsunade would solo the verse.
Your first sentence is just wrong bro. There’s plenty of times in the series where we’ve seen stronger characters get negged by weaker characters because of genjutsu. Taka Sasuke genjutsued Killer Bee who was literally ragdolling him around. Obito also genjutsued Kurama even though he got folded by one Rasengan from Minato. The sharingan is constantly portrayed to be an overpowered HAX that even the strongest people can get beat by. Itachi using sharingan Genjutsu just means he was blessed to have a sharingan, that doesn’t mean he’s physically stronger than Orochimaru. Orochimaru could fight against HIRUZEN who was stated to be at the top of the ninja world and the strongest out of the 5 kage. Itachi has no feats that put him up there.
