Best suggestion is to go for 70-300mm AF-P ED VR 4.5-6.3 . Never buy any FX lens for your DX camera. You will regret later when you get low shutter speed on your camera. It's already tested and proved. I'm having 50mm 1.8G AFS prime and it gives less shutter speed than the kit lens at same settings. If you don't believe, test it yourself. Both DX and FX lenses are optimized for their individual bodies and can't be interchanged without losing something.

@@David-ti3yw ha ha, you can't use this lens for shooting the Jupiter but yes, moon will look much bigger with more details. You should better buy Nikon P1000 for moon close up photography. It shows rings of Saturn too. It's equivalent to 3000mm on FX.
Didn't understand much of the talking but the statistics were helpful, thanks! I would've liked to see statistics for max apperture on the af-p too. I'm considering getting one of the two for portrait photography with nice bokeh. The AF beats the AF-P by half a step so I was thinking it might produce creamier bokeh. In your photos it looked like that too. (Plus the color with the AF looked richer too.) Is that your opinion too for still photographs/portraits?

I would like to tell you that we can use the middle range lens the Nikkor AF-P 70-300 ED VR 3.5 TO 6.5 F... Can be used on the FX Camera bodies by using the crop sensor option in fx bodies... There will be a FN button you will need to click that and with it u will need to see through the view finder where u will see the sensor getting cropped... The lens works in 1.2x crop sensor which is the secondary sensor setting and the third is the dx crop sensor which is the third crop sensor... Note that if u use this lens on FX body u will need to crop the sensor or u will get the vignetting on photos... 1.2x and dx crop. Also note that i have a nikon D750 so I'm telling my camera settings however probably the D750 posses the same settings of all nikon cameras FX bodies... Video mode is awesome u may not need to crop the sensor in video mode... There will be 0% vignetting... If any more questions please reply on this same comment below...🙏
yes it is good with Nikon D610 ,but the autofocus is not that smooth as compare to Nikon D5300 with afp 70-300mm ,and the main shortcoming is lack of vibration reduction ,the af 70-300mm doesn't have vr which is the most important thing for zoom lens , that's why you ll get sometimes blurry shots at 300mm ,, although it is very good within 200mm in lighting condition . but there are not heavy difference in picture quality if you compare them with a same body ,as d610 is fx you will get better photos with af 70-300mm if you compare with nikon d5300 with afp 70-300mm .
+Rajendra Singh agar portraits ke liye hai to 50mm prime lens lelo. Ha ye dono lens pictures quality ke mamleme lagvag same hai. Paar better results milega 70-300mm afp lens me.

yes it is good with Nikon D610 ,but the autofocus is not that smooth as compare to Nikon D5300 with afp 70-300mm ,and the main shortcoming is lack of vibration reduction ,the af 70-300mm doesn't have vr which is the most important thing for zoom lens , that's why you ll get sometimes blurry shots at 300mm ,, although it is very good within 200mm in lighting condition . but there are not heavy difference in picture quality if you compare them with a same body ,as d610 is fx you will get better photos with af 70-300mm if you compare with nikon d5300 with afp 70-300mm .

+Rajendra Singh agar portraits ke liye hai to 50mm prime lens lelo. Ha ye dono lens pictures quality ke mamleme lagvag same hai. Paar better results milega 70-300mm afp lens me.
