Welcome to a full drum transcription and performance of "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond!
Sweet Caroline" is undoubtedly one of Neil Diamond's most famous hits and is still loved by millions of people today. The song was recorded at American Sound Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, and released on May 28, 1969. The studio band known as The Memphis Boys were instrumental in the song, with Gene Chrisman on drums. Gene Chrisman played an important role as a studio drummer at American Sound Studios in Memphis during the 1960s under the direction of producer Chips Moman. His contributions were instrumental in the production of hits, including classics such as "Suspicious Minds" and "In the Ghetto" for Elvis Presley. Despite his significant contributions, Gene Chrisman's name is often under-mentioned in songwriting credits, but his impact on a song through his drumming is undeniable.

For the recordings I used Ableton Live together with two Beyerdynamic MC-930 overhead microphones, a Beyerdynamic TGD-70 bass drum microphone and a Beyerdynamic M 201 TG for the snare drum. 🎙️
