- Packing as much as I can for my trip to Japan into this carry on, thanks for hanging out with me while I plan and fold! I'm so excited for this trip and don't worry I am going to film EVERYTHING so in a way, you're coming with me. Lots of very tingly ASMR adventures in Japan coming very soon, please look forward to that 🥰

You need little things called “tacos” for your ear wires and other wires, taco shaped with a little snap, they are typically leather but you can get them in vinyl too, all different colors. You just wrap one around your wires and snap it closed and it keeps your wires neat and organized.
I wish I had this quality but i’m very clumsy…
As someone who's lived in Japan many years - MOST IMPORTANT ITEMS!!!
Tampons if you use them and think you might get your period. They are very hard to find over here because women in Japan mostly don't use them. You are going during rain season, so pack a lot of light but water-repellant clothing. If you are someone who has issues with humidity, make sure to bring hair products or pain medication for that too. Japanese people seldomly have issues with that so there are barely any products for it. RELATED: BRING DEODORANT! I mean it! The summer is RIDICULOUSLY hot and humid, you will sweat like crazy and since Japanese people don't, they have next to no decent deodorants. You can get bug-spray over here but if there's something you prefer, bring it.
TAKE SOME BALLPOINT PENS ON THE PLANE WITH YOU - for custom documents that you will have to fill out on the plane before landing!

Japan is a wonderful place to visit! I've been a couple of times, and there's always more to see. General travel tip: I suggest you take your meds in a carry-on. If they get lost, it's really tough to get prescriptions filled in other countries.

I haven't fully completed the video but I hope you have a great time here! Some of my favourite places I'd recommend if you're in Tokyo is Miyashita Park, Shibuya Sky, Odaiba Park (a beach park plus there's Small Worlds Tokyo in the same area if you like miniature stuff), Coco Curry (the chain restaurant) and the Sunshine Aquarium!
For tips: Highly recommend getting a Suica card, it's originally for transit but I use it as pretty much a debit card as most stores/restaurants take it. Although there are a lot of places that are cash only, so I'd recommend keeping a bit of cash on you (the 7-11's are very easy to use with a foreign card). And if you're wanting to save money, the konbini food is surprisingly excellent and very cheap. If you're looking for some cute clothes, Harajuku especially Takashita Street is definitely the place to go but if you can, go on an off-time (like a weekday and earlier on) or else it's practically impossible to move/navigate through there easily.
But have fun!! Japan is an amazing place to visit and I just know you're gonna have a complete blast. I'm excited for the vids!

It’s hilarious that you say that because as I was packing, I was thinking “it’s annoying that these bandaids aren’t pastel, they don’t really match my stuff” 😂 still on theme though!
I have to say that you are sort of an inspiration to me! I just purchased my first home and I also love all things pastel and cute, but was nervous to incorporate things like that into my home because I was afraid it would appear “childish”. But these are the things that make me happy! Seeing the things in your home that you’ve shared with us makes me feel comfortable with having things like that in my home as well, so thank you!! ❤

We visited at the same time I think, my partner and I just got back home and I returned to the States as an engaged lady 🥹 we filled FOUR suitcases, I hope you found all the miniatures and stationery! Looking forward to a haul if you feel like sharing! ❤

Japan resident here! Definitely recommend borderless exhibit and odaiba in general, harajuku design festa gallery (basically past Takeshita dori and the tourist traps) near cat street, and shimokitazawa for vintage shopping (find the garage with all the shops in it)
Not sure if i have commented this before but you're one of my fave ASMRtists not just because of how comfort you bring but also the fact that (as a non english speaker) i can actually understand what you say without subtitles. Have a great trip

If you’re flying internationally, all liquids have to be in a small, clear bag and you have to take out all your tech like iPads and phones and laptops when you go through security and tsa. I’m just looking at this carryon thinking that would be such a pain to go through the whole suitcase to find the iPad and all the liquid items.
Japan is lovely and I know you'll have a great time! Just be prepared to be HOT. Japan is very muggy, humid, and hot right now. The rainy season is rolling on through about now, so even if it's not raining the humidity is no joke. Stay hydrated! Also, I suggest watching videos about things Japan does differently than other countries. Fun fact, be prepared for no public garbage bins. I've been stuck carrying garbage all the way home sometimes because there's never a bin!

@@kiwibirb13 Yes following the 1995 gas attacks (which used public bins), most places have largely removed them. I understand the fear, but it's incredibly inconvenient 😅

Since your carry-on is a hard case it's the optimal place to have some lovely stickers to make up for the colour.
Also I'm big on the having smaller bags for many things when I pack as well, both in my check-in and carry-on since it's nice having it organized when traveling❤

Bon Voyage ALB! A night flight can be relaxing but I defo recommend ear plugs or noise cancellation headphones just so you can shut yourself off from fellow passengers or light sleepers onboard 😊

I’ve always wanted to go to Japan, I’m obsessed with Sanrio and kawaii things and Japan is definitely the best place to go for that! (I also adore stationery but there aren’t any places near me that sell kawaii stationery items so I resort to online but it’s expensive! 😂) I want to go eventually but I just know that I’d break the bank and come back with a few extra suitcases… 👀
But there’s an entire theme park dedicated to Sanrio! That’s insane!

i HIGHLY!!! Recommend you get those flight compression socks if you haven’t already, especially if you’re short like me. i didn’t get them for the flight there and my feet were sooo swollen for like two days. they made a HUGE difference on the way back! i also wished i had brought more snacks on the flight there 😂 wishing you safe and smooth travels to Japan!! (as smooth as a 14 hr flight can be lol)
I recommend japanese onsen followed by sushi ! Shopping 24/7 gets exhausting. Relax!

I find a backpack useful because its hard to get into those rollerbags mid flight for any of those items! But they are bulky to carry around the airport! Hope ur flight went smoothly and you had an amazing timeeeee 💜🎉✈️

I would highly suggest buying a power bank. Every time I went on vacation my phone battery would die quickly because I was taking so many photos. I was constantly trying to find somewhere to charge my phone. Now that I have a power bank, whenever my battery is low I just plug my phone into the power bank, which is in my purse and I'm charging on-the-go! A lifesaver! Got a pair of them on Amazon, so one is always fully charged and ready to go while the other one is charging in the hotel room. No more hunting for outlets constantly; your "outlet" is in your purse.

if your ice is still frozen you can bring it through security! i don’t like having warm water in the airport so i fill my bottle to the top with ice and it’s always still frozen when i go through security. then use the fountain fill up and you’ve got ice water on your flight :)
