Im a husky breeder, take it very seriously when finding a perfect match and want to say that your advice to new owners of Sibe pups is spot on! Love your informative videos and your Sibes are beautiful and obviously happy and well cared for! I will reccommend my new Sibe owners subscribe and watch your videos as preparation while waiting for their pups anytime after my minimum 8 weeks to go to their new forever home. It breaks my heart to see how many huskies end up being abandoned in shelters becuase their owners werent properly c ok committed to or educated about this sensitive, loving, super intelligent, loyal majeatic breed. Watching your videos wiill help minimize that from happening. Kudos!

When we first got our puppy, we took him out to potty every hour, he did really well and pooped outside every time! All the accidents he’s had are because we didn’t stick to the potty schedule, now he’s 9 weeks and he’s not pooping as often but we still take him outside every hour to two hours to potty. At 8 weeks he started waking up less at night, he sleeps about 7 hours. He’s learned to sit, stay, and give the paw so far. I’ve really enjoyed having a husky puppy, I have been tired but he’s worth all the sleep I’ve lost! I’m enjoying every part of raising a husky pup! Also! My cat walked up to our pup and sniffed his nose! We’re making progress! 😁♥️

Amazing information! You're doing the hard work and it will def pay off. I remember never sleeping in the beginning, and it was difficult, but the bond you form during that time is SO important and vital to having good communication with your dog when they're an adult. You'll really thank yourself later on!

Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games th-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

My puppy had a bad night the first night, but it has been a breeze since...he's super smart, potty and crate trained and he's only 11 weeks, he sleeps through the night, but up at 6 am, does'nt whine in the mornings to potty, when we let him out, he let's us leash him and he'll go right out to handle his biz....he knows sit, lay and stay, I'm so proud of him 😃

Two of the new homes never had a husky and one out of those two never had a puppy/dog. So I am going to share this video with all of them. I want to make sure that all their transitions are as smooth as possible. They also know to contact me whenever and no matter the time either.

I got my puppy when she was 2 months old . She was calm during the car ride home. When we got home she was scared, cried the whole night. Didn’t want us to carry her at all. I thought it was a mistake nevertheless my family and I didn’t give up on her. A week later she got used to us quickly! We still struggle with crate training 😩. She’s 3 months old , but at this point she’s used to us and we are introducing her to the outside world slowly. I’m still learning along with her

We have a German Shepherd puppy, and just got a Siberian husky puppy only one week younger than our Shepherd puppy.
Sokka (huskeroni) howled all night and cried and yelped, but the good news is, my kids weren't bothered by it and he did really well with the accidents. Only 2 accidents off of the puppy pads.
We did introduce our pups right away, because our Shepherd puppy has been lonely since his siblings were adopted and the two have been inseparable since. My Shepherd has been trying to show our husky how things go around here and they're already super close ❤️

My puppy was a starving stray when we found each other.... for the first 48 hrs he: slept for ten min., took outside to potty..explore the new yard 15 min. come in, eat, 10 min, explore the house 10 min., play with a toy 10 min, sleep 10 min. This schedule did give us 48 potty practices in 2 days....lol house broken after that too....also it was a great moment when puppy finally slept for 4 hrs straight......

This brought back so many great memories of my first few weeks with my Husky! You should mention that adolescence lasts forever. My boy Dublin turned 14 in November.. His energy and activity level is the same as when he was six months old! That’s how they are😊. He’s my third Husky in my lifetime and as a loving and responsible owner I can’t stress enough that you have to be fully committed to this breed. The rewards of being able to meet his care needs (lots of walks/activity, rigorous grooming and tons of love) are amazing! TFS your pack!

This advice is not just for huskies but ALL dogs. I'm glad you talked about the "hardships" of having a new puppy because there are too many people that just go and get a dog without thinking about it, often even going to work the next morning and leaving their small pup home all day. Some get angry when the pup cries when put to bed. (My pup cried for several nights, even when I slept next to its bed for the first two. She soon got used to sleeping in a different room.)
As much as dogs are fun and puppies are cute, there are still far, far too many people who don't understand the responsibility of owning a dog. I would describe a dog ownership to having A TODDLER THAT NEVER GROWS UP - but often harder, because there are so many places you cannot take your dog with, where you can take a human child. (My second son took over the dog intellectually when he was about 3 yrs old.) Then there is the picking up your dog's poo and depositing it in a bin - unless you live in a farm or take your dog to toilet in a forest where it doesn't matter - that is something that many prospective dog owners are not willing to do, although there are many devices in the market to help with that. Many owners also get jaded about playing and training their dogs after a hard day at work, but training should be frequent and consistent especially when teaching a new skill. Teenage dogs can be especially trying when they start asserting themselves and test your leadership skills... That's when many dogs end up in rescue centres! Which is why I think a breeder should try to PUT OFF a potential first time buyer at first, stressing all the shitty aspects and asking questions about the buyer's lifestyle and home.

I enjoy your videos man, I’ve had my Husky Pup for 5 days now, 8 weeks old now, might I say, I’m glad things get better.
The first day/night with Buck was quite surprising, I thought he would be scared and unfamiliar, and we have a year old black lab as well so I didn’t know what would happen, when we got him we took him to our petco to fit him with his collar and harness, when we took him home, he was quite calm actually and our black lab instantly loved him, even tried to play with him, but my folks helped calm Blue (the lab) down.
The pup slept for most of the day in my room, according to the breeders he was the most curious and adventurous of the litter, so that may be why he was so calm. The night was as you would expect, mostly sleepless. We made a little fort next to my bed made with 2 chairs, two dog beds, and a potty pad, we even used a night light. Buck slept on and off and I didn’t proper sleep until the way early morning, and yes he peed a bit.
Now nearing day 6, I’ve learned he sleeps much better and longer in the dark, he sleeps on the floor but he’ll sleep with me in my bed once he’s potty trained. I’ve got him more toys both hard and squeaky, and I’ll soon look into a proper kennel, and I’ll keep watching you and getting professional advice to train him. Thank you Sixty Formula!! Also tell me what else I’ll need to do.

Your a Lifesaver man they are different in some of the smallest yet biggest ways to any other dogs I've had it's the second night having my pup and your videos have given me a lot of peace of mind especially this video here it alleviated some of the worries I've had about him my sister gave this dog to me since I wanted one when I found out it was a husky I was taken aback since I've heard how difficult they can be an knew it was a big responsibility an I've probably read 35 articles an all videos regarding them but found your videos to be so helpful. And it's nice to hear that all symptoms hes exhibiting so far are normal. All things considered hes been a real good boy but his activity is down and I was really worried

I think it’s awesome that you got a Husky puppy! He’s magically beautiful! I just want people to remember all the Siberian Huskies in shelters, waiting to be adopted. So many people don’t realize Huskies are more than a pretty face (Game of Thrones!) and get rid of them, so sad.

I got a 6-week husky pup. I have 3 adult poodles and 1 cat, we didn't introduce them your way but we were gentle they waved their tails and were curious (now they can't stand him :( I think they will never be friends) well, I board other doggos and they don't like them either. Now, with my cat, they are the best friends! they fight and sleep together. He is 8 weeks now and he already knows to pee in the pad, (he still pees elsewhere) and give paws, sit. I think we have a lot of work to do! and we love your channel and your advice! thank you so much!

There not a whole lot that can just make me fall in love with something but. If anyone hasn't had the opportunity to meet a husky puppy. They will melt your heart the second you see one. They are so cute and adorable and when they look at you with those blue eyes. But the that's the sad part also of why so many people get them and go up for adoption. When people realize what comes with owning a husky only a months after.

Last time out at night was midnight and got up at 6am. Slept without issue. Next morning he found the crate outside and went it willingly. But I only use it for my dinner time.

  • @deplorablecovfefe9489
    @deplorablecovfefe9489 2 ปีที่แล้ว

For housebreaking take them out everytime they wake up, after every feeding... you also need to catch the accidents in the act.... shout panicky and loud and take them out to where they supposed to potty. Never spank, verbal works fine. When they potty outside, praise them alot. It's mostly about them learning good place, bad place. But settled in dogs are inclined not to potty inside where they live so that helps too. I have a house and all that " in and out" can be a pain so I've had doggy doors my last 2 dogs. Then it's just about unlocked when your home. Locked when away. Dog takes care of himself.

I got a husky/Pomeranian mix and he stays around the puppy size. He acts like a total husky though, always whining and making accidents everywhere and chewing on anything he can. He's super sneaky about going potty and will try to climb under a table or something and try to exterminate undetected. When we're sleeping he decides to be a total bundle of energy too. I'm not sure if that's normal with dogs though.

The first night mine absolutely screamed when I attempted to put her in a crate next to the bed. So, I put her in my bed since I had a waterproof dust cover on it. I'm a light sleeper, slept in clothes and jumped up when she woke up to carry her out to go. Later, I gave her a treat and praised her when she went outside. At first, we had to take her out at least every half hour when we were awake. She has done so well not being crate trained. Her accidents are very few the older she gets and usually only when she has a running fit. Watch out for the zoomies. Second time in crate, she panicked so much she had diarrhea. Now she is older, we are working on a few minutes at a time.
She has lots of toys to chew on: hard, soft, and middle. But still working on teaching that hands and arms are not ok. She needed 1 on 1 supervision in the house. I can't tell you how many unlikely things I have taken out of her mouth.
We took her everywhere from day one. She slept in her bed for much of the rides, now chews on toys and looks out windows also. Never one accident in car. We take turns going in stores, get takeout and feed her when we eat at a park.
I got her probiotic treats and supplements and very gradually switched her to Blue Buffalo large breed puppy. Only small treats at first. I never had a dog with so sensitive a digestive system.
She sometimes howls when one of us leaves. Thank God my husband is retired. We are getting her used to being at a friend's house with him whose daughter grooms and babysits, but they don't live real close.
She is so bonded with us and has separation anxiety. She loves meeting other people and also dogs in the dog park. But she wants to jump on everyone. So, we are working on that also. Our lives are much altered, but absolutely no regrets. Our bengal cat gets her to chase him- not a good thing.
