In the 1970's, Trainland had the most incredible window display. It was a multi-level mountain scene with all kinds of tunnels and tracks and houses/buildings etc. As a child, my father would sometimes pull up in front of the store just so my sister and I could stare in the window at this magnificent sight. I still remember the way the store smelled inside. Visiting Trainland was always an exciting adventure and those memories remain a small but very sentimental part of my childhood.
Whenever my brother and I go into a dedicated train shop, it’s truly like walking into The Vatican. We always buy something, even if it’s just some trees to support the business.
live a town or so away from trainland, pretty proud that i live near the highway where Sunny's death in the Godfather was filmed and that Bobby's whacking was filmed near me.
