The scene where she felt overwhelmed . That was shot on her birthday and the other was in her home town Houston … you can imagine why she’d be more emotional in those two stops with the crowd and cheering (one of the craziest) in those two stops . Good review

Beyonce has always worked that hard since she was little. It is ingrained in her and its part of her dna

The 11 year old Blue cried every night she performed. Did you think that was also performative? Imagine the amount of love we are showing them while they are on stage. That emotion must be overwhelming

I would have said if I thought that was performative...

@@ForrestReviews she is 42, she started this career since the 90s, she gave birth to twins in 2017, so it can be overwhelming at this age. especially when you consider how hard it is for a black woman to sell out stadiums shows in the US.

@@zachbryanchicagoI was thinking this too but maybe cut him some slack bc he can’t really see it the way we see it. Like he said, he isn’t a fan and he’s watching from an unbiased point of view. But what he said wasn’t bad. It’s just what he observed. What Beyoncé accomplished for this tour is truly monumental. She’s the only black person to ever gross over half a billion for a tour. And she’s a women too! And before her was Michael Jackson and that was in the 80s That is insane. She is truly legendary and deserves her flowers.

Nice review! People don't have to be a fan of Beyonce to appreciate her! She's by far the greatest performer alive! And i respect how much hard she works and that she's a perfectionist. Renaissance is personally not my favorite album by her, although I appreciate her shouting out the ballroom community. I would recommend that you watch Lemonade, by far her best album imo!

I should have mentioned that ballroom part it was actually one of my favorite parts of the film, I'd never seen or heard of that before so it was cool to see. Thanks for the nice comment 🙂

@@ForrestReviews you're welcome! And I just subscribed. To answer your question about "why she did this tour?" The tour was a love letter to the lgbtq (specifically Black) community. She actually spoke about this in the film, it was dedicated to her uncle Johnny, who tragically passed away from Aids. That's why she released it on December 1st (which is world aids day) she's a very intentional artist dude. Really cares about her craft!

@@keithwilson3900 I must have missed that dedication. It is very clear she cares a lot about her craft that is for sure!

I think if you wanted a pin point on why she was doing it. The tour was a love letter to her uncle Johnny and the LGBTQ community. Beyoncé shed light to the ballroom scene that not a lot people know about at all. Beyoncé has a huge LGBT following because she encourages them to be themselves. This music itself and the album was for them. Renaissance is a revolution. If you went into this album not knowing Beyoncé you would have been very confused based on her last 5 albums bc they sound so different. But I enjoyed your review! Beyoncé work ethic isn’t talked about enough I’m glad you saw it. People don’t realize Beyoncé sings LIVE in heels memorizing 3 hours worth of choreography. I can barely dance for 10 minutes straight without being out of breath 😂 let alone remember that much dance routine.

People always say they aren’t a fan of someone’s music but can’t name 5 songs by the artist..

Im not sure what you meant when you said what was the purpose of the tour. But she dedicated the tour and her album to her uncle Johnny. He died from contracting AIDS in the 80s. The whole album and tour was dance/house music. representing and celebrating the black LGBTQ community. This isn’t Beyoncé first film/documentary btw. She’s done about 7 so far but this is the first one she’s collaborated with AMC to put in theaters. Her Emmy nominated film Homecoming on Netflix is great as well and also has a live album you’re able to listen to. Renaissance will most likely have an album. Hopefully, fingers crossed lol we’re praying.
