I agree. Although Ares and Chaos can stand on their own, they weren’t build for Sonic to freely run though. The canyons blocked Sonic while the chasms on Chaos didn’t give Sonic ground to run on. Kronos’s grassy plains, expansive forests, and slopes were the perfect playground to just run around.
This mod is absolutely INSANE, got to be the best Frontiers mod so far! I love how there's entirely new emerald locations and you can even get the Rhea Towers at the same time. If we could somehow get Giganto to spawn after the emeralds and Supreme for the towers that would be incredible. There's so much here I probably missed a few things. The giganto Alpha boss fight is straight fire. 🔥
I think Ik why Kronos was originally long I think it was supposed to lead the player into thinking the whole game takes place on only 1 island but them would surprise you by giving much more and then looping back to Kronos after doing the 2 previous islands
From what Ive seen there were supposed to be just 3 islands, you can even fact check this in one of the eggman memos where he says there are only 3 islands and if you glitch the game and get high enough on kronos, rhea and ouranos you can see some kind of shadow in the water where the islands used to be together
@@defaultuser632no the game was originally meant to have 4 islands, Kronos island, (Kronos rhea and ouranos) ares island, chaos island, and then a unique 4th island. What was the 4th island meant to be? Who knows!
Now all we need is someone to recreate the shader from the 2021 Beta footage, as well as the original unused theme from that footage and we're all set!
The unused track looks like a very early version of the guitar solo of Breaking Through it all, although curiously it reminds me of the Take it all instrumental made by Zakkujo 😂

How cool would it be if you phased in and out of supersonic because of the cyber corruption and it would steal an emerald from you so you'd have to use the land around you to get back up to em while it's shooting lazers and missiles down into the Forrest you're running through?
Damn, this mod is so good! You know, it makes me think... What if *ALL* islands were connected between one another physically? Like, you could physically run up to each and every single one of the islands, maybe access each and everyone by a large platforming puzzle, like the structures in Ares, instead of teleporting there? Maybe having to face a gauntlet of a stage to cross through each island. I can already imagine it: Kronos and Rhea would be one in the same, as showcased here, then go to Ares and Chaos as in the final release. But, when the Towers rise as the last line of defense against the End's release, they not only appear in Rhea, but all across the Starfall islands, one in Chaos, two in Ares, and another three on Kronos. The one in Chaos could involve the volcano, maybe having Super Sonic see it, reach the top, have the "Be careful?" cutscene, and then, climb down the Volcano, and descend the island (since Chaos is in the air), and reach Ares, having then to deactivate those towers, maybe having one of them involve it's mountain, and reach Kronos, having the towers in the three main points of the island: the Diamond structure, the center of the island, and then finally one in Ouranos. In fact, maybe Ouranos could be blocked off entirely before the Towers appesr, being the last territory that the player can find in the Starfall islands, to make it different from the rest, since it is Supreme's territory. Maybe, that could make Giganto and specially Supreme have a more of a threatening presence through the story, having them walk across Kronos, and making Sonic have to avoid them to survive. And once Sonic collects the Emeralds, Giganto and Supreme retreat to their release arenas, and begin their fights there. It just makes you think about what more could have been done to this game if Sega had given Sonic Team the time and resources they really needed.

I actually was wondering what the bata island looked like I also like this idea a bit more than the actual game! I think this idea should be in the next game or update this game i also wonder what tail amy knuckles and maybe even sage would look like in DLC update 3 as well as the animations and abilities.
We’re in the Renaissance of Sonic. The movies are good. The games are good. The comics are good. And the new cartoon is good. It’s been a long time but finally Sonic is coming back. Now if Sega could let Sonic Team finish instead of pushing a deadline. There was clearly a lot they had to skip out in Frontiers due to the time constraints. But it still was incredibly good. Especially the story. I recently went back over Forces… yikes that was a bad story. Like idt you can blame time constraints. It was just a plain bad story. But Frontiers made up for it big time. The only downside is now I don’t want Eggman to be the bad guy anymore. I want him to be a dad to Sage (given a robot body instead of a hologram).
personally, i think eggman as a sonic villain will still be the case, but he'll just be a minor annoyance now, instead of the threat he was in the games before
From what I shortly tried, it's like the og Kronos with the same emerald locations as the original. The difference is you can go to the other parts to get gears and keys through the new cyber gates. (There might be more as I only took a short peek)
@@sonicovertime I actually did move some of the Kronos Emerald locations around as well as some of the Ouranos ones. I didn't go overboard since I didn't want to mess with the flow and some NPC interactions are set next to specific locations. I also changed it so there's 6 Chaos Emerald vaults in Kronos rather than 4, removing the emerald rewards for the two minigames (still plays the animation of him getting them there though dunno how to swap it out).
@@Jacktheinfinite101 I kinda wish that in Kronos, I would have to go to the other areas to get the Emeralds rather than the original Kronos area. Also maybe you could release a version where Giganto doesn't spawn in the Ouranos area? That way the beginning feels more natural.
@@NineTwentyThreeTwentyThree 3 of the Emeralds in Kronos are located in other areas in my mod. Also I'm not sure what you mean about Giganto spawning in Ouranos? He only appears in Supreme's arena on Rhea and only when you have it set to Free Roam mode.
The Critics said too much grass when this island was being made I mean ares island has too much sand and chaos island has too much rocks and lava what do they know we needed this version of kronos

So that’s what that area was! I saw that open area when exploring the tower island and was wondering why there was this open area in the trees with fallen Caterpillar guardians that was blocked off by invisible walls.
It has it's ups and downs, definitely is alot of fun trying. I do think having the full Kronos makes collecting the sage tokens less tedious than retail though.

Kronos, Ares, & Chaos islands are pretty neat. Too bad the last island is another grassy fields. More land varieties would be appreciated.

Im pretty sure originally all of the islands were supposed to be connected but was scarpped due to it taking too much resources
