this man looks great for his age i have seen him alot recently on Metv doing promo. hope klinger keeps doing what he's been doing and enjoying life to the fullest.
Klinger was a fantastic character, played by a fantastic actor. Can you imagine what M*A*S*H would have been like if he had only been in ONE episode, like they'd originally planned? Ugh. I don't even want to think about it. Also, how adorable is Jamie Farr? What a sweetheart.
I saw my first MASH episode in the UK, back in 1972. I was five. It has been a part of my life ever since. With the turning of the years came the chance to own the whole series on DVD. I think that if you aspire to be a politician in America, you should watch all 11 seasons of MASH, and it will define your heart toward your fellow man.
Mary Ann Witthowske You are correct, both Alan Alda and Jamie Farr served in the army in Korea but not until after the war was over. While Jamie Farr did wear his military issued dog tags on the show I have not found a source where it says Alan Alda did the same. Thanks for sharing the information. There is not enough we can do to thank the men and women who have served in our armed forces. Giving recognition takes very little time and means a lot to them. I live between two large US Marine Corps bases. I make a point to thank Marines when I see them in public, especially the elderly gentlemen who wear their Veteran's caps. Their faces will beam when thanked.
That's because Jamie Farr is a fellow with a sense of humor, compassion. A sense to enjoy life and not BITCH about himself. A man of faith, for those who hate hearing that. He's a man of values.... It's as simple as that. And that helps a person's appearance. A love for life!
I remember him saying in an interview from a long time ago when he won the part of Klinger, he really wanted to play the part well, he was worried about letting Toledo down.
Also, don't forget Tony Packo's. Have been there several times and they have great food! It's an actual 'ol time saloon from the 1920's and has great atmosphere.
Wow! Jamie Farr looks good. I realize it's now December 2014 and the interview was done in November 2006 but I still say he looks good. So he lives in Australia now, huh.
i loved the show mash but i found out this month on CBS/KFVS12 that they took mash off the network from sunday night from 10:35pm to 11:35pm they should of let the viwers know of the network changes i rememberd back in the 1980's when they showed Mash in the afternoons at 430 i think people needs to contact CBS and tell them to bring mash back to cbs further more the network needs to change the name to just plain B.S network
My favorite characters are Radar and Klinger. The next would be the semi regulars Lt. Freeman and Col. Flagg. The show was great. I even like watching the re runs.
The only reason Burns made that comment to Hawkeye is because that's something he himself did many times. Frank was always "missing something" during surgery. You completely missed the point of Larry Gelberts joke.
Personally, I wouldn't read that much into it. Wayne had been off the show for several years when the series ended - and Klinger was not in every episode then. As for Radar, who knows? Remember, Klinger's part got a lot bigger (company clerk) after Gary left. Maybe he just forgot him. Alan J Lerner once forgot to thank Fredrick Lowe once when he won a Tony - anything can happen -- maybe the filming just edited that part out...
Still watch reruns. I saw Jamie Parr ( Klinger) in a Christmas stage play in Nashville years ago. He was great in person but you would always recognize his voice. It never changes.
Jamie comes across the same way in this interview as he does on screen....lovable, genuine, just a really nice guy. Great to see him doing so well.
I've been told that Jamie is a genuinely nice guy.
This only reinforces that.
One of the best cast shows in TV history.
there's klingers on the starboard bow, captain.
How marvellous to see so many clips from my favourite period of “MASH” - the first three years, with Wayne Rogers and Maclean Stevenson.

only an audience of 125 million.
Oh my gosh, his voice hasn't changed a bit!!
Klinger is one of the funnest parts ever!
THANKYOU for sharing your wonderful talent with the world...x
What an amazing guy!
My favorite Lebanese. He was such a character. I absolutely adored him.
Love theses guys still watch it on tv

R.I.P Harry Morgan, great show
It's funny that, Jamie Farr actually did serve in the army in Korea (so did Alan Alda). The dog tags he wore on the show were his own.
Is that true? Wow i never heard that before! Interesting!
Yes, it's true. I read it somewhere as are Alan Alda's dog tags, they are his.
Cool! Makes all the more authentic!

Actually out of the whole cast, Klinger has aged the best! Hes handsome in his old age! Whod have thought😉

I think Klinger's Statue Of Liberty dress was his best, especially with the burning torch
Klinger may not have wanted to be in the US Army, but he was a true American patriot down to his high heels!..
That is Jamie Farr's favorite Klinger moment!
@@disoriented1 he enlisted in the army
A blast from the past
Great tv ,show, was sad to see it end ,,always remembered..
I remember him saying in an interview from a long time ago when he won the part of Klinger, he really wanted to play the part well, he was worried about letting Toledo down.
Still watch!
Looks great for 72.
+Eugene Grewing This video is from '06. He's 82.
bodhitaichi I know that.
Yes he looks really good!!
He was always my favorite in the MASH series! :)
When in Toledo, visit Tony Packo's restaurant on Front Street just east of the big fancy bridge. Autographed hot dog buns by the M*A*S*H cast.
I saw him in a performance of Don't Dress For Dinner at a Dinner Theatre in Kansas City back in 1993 or 1994. He's awesome!
God I miss this show!
72 years young. Would love to see that pilot he was talking about
Saw him in a play in Kansas City. He's still amazing!
If he dyed his hair black, he'd look exactly the same!
Love you JAMIE!!!
Saw Jamie Farr in old Andy Griffith Show episode playing one of several gypsy along with Vito Scotti
I even loved him in the Cannonball run films, funny thing is he actually served in the Korean war. I think he was the only cast member who did
really enjoyed his acting
Also, don't forget Tony Packo's. Have been there several times and they have great food! It's an actual 'ol time saloon from the 1920's and has great atmosphere.
MASH was fabulous and so was KLINGER
when this guy dies, everyone will have a tear in their eyes! I don't want him to...
and I would favor a strict dress code for the funeral; at least one lady in a flashy pink chiffon...
Jasmin Russell wonder what dress they will put him in for the service?
Great people
He was hell of son the gun !! Salute to you sir..
A gentleman
Klinger was the Greatest ,,HO Rall 'Corp Klinger (Jamie ) if you see this ,,along with all cast you are a Great
I love Klinger, and Jamie Farr. I didn't know he really was from Toledo.
72 years old? Damn, I would NOT have estimated him to be that age.
Wow! Jamie Farr looks good. I realize it's now December 2014 and the interview was done in November 2006 but I still say he looks good. So he lives in Australia now, huh.
Klinger is the best character from MASH.
@guitartec YES!!!!! My fave!!!!!
Ahah longer is hit. But what alot of fun he was to watch! He looks like a great guy too!!

I want to meet Jamie Farr (Klinger).
Little known fact, Jamie, Princess Diana, Pamela Anderson, Dan Aykroyd and I share the same birthday, July 1. Im in good company!
He comes across as a genuinely nice guy too.
mash is the best show ever and every character is a good person. hawkeye and honeycut were very funny and major hotlips was hot
Did the announcer say the show ended in 1993?... 3:55 ..it was 1983!
whats his new tv series ??
Aftermash?
Funny guy :-)
That's Sorell Brooks from the Dukes of Hazzard, rip
The final episode aired on February 28th 1983
NOT 1993!
That's what he said, 1983.
Klinger aka Section 8 ; - )
The only reason Burns made that comment to Hawkeye is because that's something he himself did many times. Frank was always "missing something" during surgery. You completely missed the point of Larry Gelberts joke.
I'd like to see him play the part of Bob Barker if they ever would make Happy Gilmore 2.
well i like mash especially hawkeye hunycut kliger radare hotlips curnal potter. mash is the best show ever
I'm sad he's not wearing a dress in the interview :(
+Rad Penny Yeah

(11 seasons later...)
he's 72? he lookd good for his age,
Olive skin make good kin lol
@MsGeekchick do they actually exist lolz
Klinger is Hot!
chopers
Jamie Farr looks like Ric Flair!! Something wrong here!
I hated Frank Burns. He had absolutely no redeming values and no lips.
Grandpa the Grey , Frank Burns eats worms! 😄
Never liked Linville. Too bad his character stunk so badly.
Started good...turned Commie.
MASH sucked until they got rid of Blake and Trapper. Any episode after that was great.
Still watch reruns. I saw Jamie Parr ( Klinger) in a Christmas stage play in Nashville years ago. He was great in person but you would always recognize his voice. It never changes.
god I hated that pervert Klinger character!
You do realize that says more about your lack of intelligence and education than the problems with the character itself.
