Interesting topic but quite true, we need to be honest with ourselves and others that either borrow or lend us money. We need to always honor God in everything we do. The Bible says “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.” Prov‬ ‭22:7‬ ‭ Thank you for sharing, God bless you

I 💯 agree with each word you said sister. We gone through each time same situation, being generous doesn't mean we are rich, we just have big heart to help family and friends when we see them in trouble, we put our own needs aside and help others.but they think they have extra they are rich that's why they give away.
At the end God sees it all. 🙌
Even I toughest situation we don't borrow from anyone God provides for our needs as God always bless giving hands. 💕

Feels like asking for help equates to feeling defeated, failure, or bringing bad vibes. Tough to do.

You’re so right. It’s so important to not judge people or make assumptions about someone based on what we see. Everyone doesn’t “advertise” their wealth. AND those who appear to have money, may not have as much as we think.

It’s very important for us not to judge people by mere appearance because nothing is as it seems. A man who drives a really nice car might be in massive debt while the man who is dressed in cheap clothes might be wealthy because they are saving money. This lesson is highly important that many Christians would do well to understand. Thanks for sharing and may God bless you!

Honesty and integrity is really important. And also to ask for help! We often end up suffering in silence, when God sets us into family for a reason.

"Assumptions do not always match what you see." Great insight, I've heard of wealthy people dressing as if they are poor. So, we should not judge people's appearances. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this matter.

You are absolutely right. Just an illusion. It isnt always what it seems.

I can relate to that. You're right that it's ok to be honest about your situation and not say yes all the time. People, especially relatives, have the tendency to rely on others who they think are better off than them just because they're not saying something about their situation. That can be a really toxic trait. They think we owe them because they're "poorer" than us. We should really be discerning and sensitive to others whether they state their need or not.

I really have been through this alot looking at people and judge them but the Lord has taught me alot on this 1 Samuel 16:[7] But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart!

I have a hard time asking for help too. Probably because I never got it when I would seek for it younger. I need to realize I’m not there, I’m here now. Lovely video. Thanks for opening up and sharing with us.

I worked in banking many years and really had my eyes open to the false illusions some people try to pull off. I also saw the opposite, humbleness with what the world would consider a reason to boast. That was more impressive: Great message.

I remember living in a different country and I intentionally did not tell people that I was born in the US because there’s a stereotype that if you’re born there, you’re rich. Obviously, now they know. Lol. But at least they know when I talk to them online, I’m still the same simple girl they’ve known. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

It's true. It's not wrong asking for help but don't make it a habit! Especially when you find it hard to pay back.

These illusions can really be false so we can’t judge their lifestyle based on what we see. New subscriber here.

This reminds me of Proverbs 13:8. Being ostentatious may get you attention, but it's going to be the wrong kind of attention!

This is an honest review of a humble life who shows stewardship. And one important rule is not to borrow as much as possible.
