I liked watching you patiently playing these fish. Not only do you exercise good technique and presentation, you are very soft with the fish once hooked - and netted each with
I may have to try these. Friend of mine has invited me to his honey hole. He said, Huge brown trout! Thanks for the video Brother. Hope y'all are doing well during all this mess. Stay Safe and GOD Bless!🙏🕊🐟🦃🦌🇺🇸
That last technique is amazing! I have never seen anybody do that before! I definitely had to subscribe to your channel I really enjoy your content and look forward to seeing alot more
Love the gulp minnows and powerbait minnows. I catch everything from Rainbows and brooks to smallmouth with them. I’m in the Roanoke Co area. Might have to link up sometime. Awesome video man.
I will be trying these. I have been trying new baits/lures. My wife will surprise me with new lures and bates on occasion and I go out thinking "that will never work" then boom I catch one. So she kind of got me into getting away from my go to bates and lures.
Just learned 2 more ways to use the little gulp minnows, thanks for the videos and the technics! Keep them coming! Also just got some mice tails, I think you made a video on those too, I have to go back and check.
I flipped my laptop over to read your tattoo. Big fan of trout fishing! Like you vids. I actually learnt a lot from your vids about how to use the trout magnet. I like your tech using the float because I often got stuck by drift fishing. I definitely will buy and try what you show here.
New subscriber! Thanks for the info! I’m learning how to fish on my own. My family doesn’t like to fish so I had no one to teach me Growing up. Ima try this technique!
Try also the glup worms, pumpkin seed color. But only use the tail, cut about an inch off and use a sinker and hook set like you did on that last fish. Love gulp baits.
I use the 3in emerald shiner color, always catch small mouth bass at my local dam by putting a split shot on letting it sink and twitching it back to shore.
I also like using gulp minnows but often have trouble hooking up due to short strikes and where the hook is positioned near the front. I have tried several longer shafted hooks but nothing I've tried looks or swims realistic. Have you had any success with a longer 4x hook or using a trailer? Thanks in advance.
thats the first i ever seen that small of a Chatterbait LOL ... But i kinda still like my small Panther Martin's or even Meps tho. But really interesting seeing the small minnows
Would love to be able to find a fishing spot like that. I live in Indiana up around Fort Wayne and we don't have trout around here. I go to the smokey mountains in Tennessee and fish down there
I've found that casting across and slightly down stream while jigging just enough to keep the minnow close to the bottom has worked the best for me. Just caught 15 in three hours today using that technique. Have to hold the rod tip high so you can lower it to give some slack once they take the minnow.
sorry to be so off topic but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the login password. I love any help you can offer me
@Alden Zachariah thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Have you tried the nymphs? Berkley power bait nymphs ( pearl olive and pink )... rig them on 1 or 2 grams jig head I promise you, you will court more fish then usual ;)
Great videos. Have you ever considered moving your reel handle to the other side? That way you won’t have to keep switching the rod from one hand to the other between casting and reeling. Just asking.
Great video. I’ve always saltwater fished and making my way into fresh, especially trout and salmon. What size hook is recommended? The rest of the rig is easy enough to set up.
Had that same rod until...someone I won't mention, dropped it in the lake. Goes to show how long I've been outta the trout scene. I use those same baits for largemouth bass and thought thats what they're for. Who cares right! If the trout are crushin it, doesn't matter what it is, use it. Nice fish man!
Okuma SST Trout rod with Diawa 1.000 size reel. Rod coat about $30. Reel can cost any ever from $30 to $100. Get the most expensive real you can afford. Look for sale at Fish USA.
Man brother them are some nice size trout in that very wide river. They are that strong cause of that strong current they fight. What river is that brother ?
Mr. C I run bait casters and spinning reals on the left side and I’m right handed. I’m not sure why right handed people real with the right hand, seems like all the power and control should be with your primary hand.
Luckily this fishery gets dozens of anglers a week so that fish was likely someones dinner shortly after I released it. Most berkley products are "easy" on fish digestive systems. However you will get a mortality from time to time especially if the hook is swallowed.
I used them in various sizes and colors and only caught junk fish not a single trout took mine unfortunately but when I throw a real minnow on they get crushed quickly. I'll try them again but so far no luck.

Gonna try this technique on the Kern River this weekend. Thanks for sharing the great tips with us!
Awesome! I didnt think trout would come for a chatter bait. Gonna try that.

Three o'clock in the morning in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and I'm going down a rabbit fishing hole and landed on your channel! Keep up the great work!

Those are some nice meal size catches you made there. Great vid.
Great video, this is something I'll try in the lakes and streams I fish here! Many thanks!
Just picked up a pack of these yesterday! Can't wait to get out and see them in action, thanks for sharing!!
Why do you cast with your right hand and set your reel up for left hand? Anyway great video, gulp minnows catch all different kind of fish
Just learned 2 more ways to use the little gulp minnows, thanks for the videos and the technics! Keep them coming! Also just got some mice tails, I think you made a video on those too, I have to go back and check.

@@renderduckfat5005 Lol. Actually I don't understand it. Shame on me.

Thanks for watching!
Love 💘 these baits!! U can hammer 🔨 the bluegill on them here in middle TN

I am in BC and the smelt ones work amazing on big bull trout!!
thats the first i ever seen that small of a Chatterbait LOL ... But i kinda still like my small Panther Martin's or even Meps tho. But really interesting seeing the small minnows
Awesome productive techniques!
Great video as always
Gulp minnows are all I use now with jighead 1/8 oz in River and 1/4 oz in a lake.
Would love to be able to find a fishing spot like that. I live in Indiana up around Fort Wayne and we don't have trout around here. I go to the smokey mountains in Tennessee and fish down there

Great video never tried what your doing but I will have to.
What technique and bait would you use in a stocked lake with lots of weeds?
Interesting never tried that type of bait with flasher very good
I'm interested in seeing how many you catch, just using canned corn!!!!
i limit out in Va on canned corn every time best bait ever
Corn is illegal I'm some states .
Not where he's fishing
What brand of fishing line you use and what pound also is that blue spring or crystal springs
Great videos. Have you ever considered moving your reel handle to the other side? That way you won’t have to keep switching the rod from one hand to the other between casting and reeling. Just asking.
I've always done that, I hate it. But it's a habit I cant break now. Just cant ever get used to reeling with my left.
What brand of polarized fishing glasses do you where?
Nice, very instructive!
Got some of the 1" ones but havent tried them yet, thanks!
2.5 where it's at man
Great video. I’ve always saltwater fished and making my way into fresh, especially trout and salmon. What size hook is recommended? The rest of the rig is easy enough to set up.

Those are some nice trout! Try them on a fly rod, same set up....fun, fun fun.
I neeeeed this setup in my life. What rod action and length plus reel? I cant find that split handle.
Okuma SST Trout rod with Diawa 1.000 size reel. Rod coat about $30. Reel can cost any ever from $30 to $100. Get the most expensive real you can afford. Look for sale at Fish USA.
I’ve been using these the last couple of years I think they work just as good as live minnows
Agreed
What rod are you using? I see brand but what model and length? Thanks
I tell you, I haven't seen trout that chunky at that length anywhere! What do you feed those trout out In Virginia??!! LOL 👍😁👍
Once the stores open up.i will pick them up.or maybe nsil.order them...
Man brother them are some nice size trout in that very wide river. They are that strong cause of that strong current they fight. What river is that brother ?
Nice video man!!!
Thanks for making these vids as well. I am a trout fanatic. Also have you ever used Phoebe lures. Gold and silver work best.
I rig them with size 8 treble hooks and 20'' leader under flasher for landlocked kings in central cali
WOW, those are big trout.
That last pig was feisty! Love watching your real world fishing videos~
Thanks!
Do these work just as well in lakes? Tried floating one today with no luck
I put them roadrunner heads when I fish lakes they are great on bass when they want micro bait
Where is located this amazing river with lot of fish ?
Location is in the description of each video. Thanks for watching
Yeassssir!!!!
What kind of camera set up do you use? And mic set up? Great videos keep up all my the great advise and lure technics.
You need to take a fly rod to blue springs and fly fish
What baits do you recommend for a beginner drift fisherman?
Love them videos
#NRVOutdoors do you fish at a farm type location as in you pay to fish a stocked area or is this a wild setting?
Both. This video was filmed at a trophy fishery
I've had a lot of success this early spring using the 1 inch gulp minnow on a drop shot...deadly!
100%!
Your TH-cam name is so OG I can’t help but say it in a Canadian accent eh , Troot and Aboot
@@0_darko LOL well I'm an old school guy!
Use a 1/8th ounce white jig head with the 3" if you want to catch the 5 pounders.
saltwater speckled trout like these too i have just discovered
my son love's fishing
That's a heavily stocked area!!!
Its harder to find a fish at the grocery store
u should see Frisco co... it’s literally every cast
I use these as my go to bait for perch and crappie
NRV What size or weight are there z-man Chatterbait jigs or even a link where I could find them when I Googled it there is so many???
They're called zman micro chatter bait
You can find it at tacklewarehouse.com
Why don't people switch the reel handle to the other side so you don't have to keep switching hands after every cast?
Mr. C I was thinking the same thing. Every reel I’ve ever had was reversible.
For me it’s habit, muscle memory and coordination.
Mr. C I run bait casters and spinning reals on the left side and I’m right handed. I’m not sure why right handed people real with the right hand, seems like all the power and control should be with your primary hand.
Can you put these on a inline spinner or would that be too big of a target?
I think most fish would short strike the spinner and only hit the minnow. If you could tie a stinger hook to it I imagine it would work well.
Question for you.... the fish that swallowed that gulp minnow, it won't be able to pass that minnow won't it kill the fish in the long run?
Luckily this fishery gets dozens of anglers a week so that fish was likely someones dinner shortly after I released it. Most berkley products are "easy" on fish digestive systems. However you will get a mortality from time to time especially if the hook is swallowed.
Good job Man..👍
I use a 1/32 jig and slightly jerk it back or just retrieve it back, killer bait. I catch small 10" to 20" plus with that 2 1/2 inch minnow.
Not a bad idea
Goin to give the gulp minnows a go this year
I used them in various sizes and colors and only caught junk fish not a single trout took mine unfortunately but when I throw a real minnow on they get crushed quickly. I'll try them again but so far no luck.
Whats the name of the fishing pole
Great value
Use a fly rod and spinning reel and free line it with just a hook !!
I have caught. TROUT. Crappie. Bass. Blue gill. Channelcats I believe just about anything out there will hit those. things
Does this apply only to rivers and creeks?
The gulp stuff tastes good...or so I hear
Huge fish
Great video
👍
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice video thank you
Caught my limit of trout using these on a drop shot rig,
Eat them butter salt pepper parsley lemon grilled.Side of onion rings and grilled potatoes.
Great job
I love using them for trout and walleye.
Awesome
🙂
Tough to hook trout fishing that minnow like a spinner with no trail hooks.
I tried these out for the first time and caught almost my ob trout I really recommend
almost? may I hear (read) the story?
Trout Farm? Just throw your hook out there and you will probably catch alot of fish.
