It's true! We don't need to cover an entire room with sound. Many times folks say it's too loud, and there's no sanctuary less noisy spot in the room for conversation. The hot spot louder dance floors area is actually very wise, especially with audiences of elderly.
I just did my first wedding of the season on 5/15/21 …. With 2- Evolve 30m’s …. Speakers were set up I was at 0 db…. My mixer was barely above 9 o clock and I was in an AIRCRAFT hangar …. WOW …. Some songs I needed to bring the Mixer down…. LOVE LOVE LOVE these speakers 😀👍🏻
Great review Brian. I picked up a pair of these last week. The built-in digital mixer is a very nice bonus and I'm looking at gigging them this later this week. For me, the build quality and sound is top-notch.
There weren't that many people there so you didn't need much. Glad they worked out for you at this gig. As long as you made the people happy, that's all that matters in the end.
30M is definitely my new favorite speaker! I agree with everything you said here. I would love to have a second… Just can’t justify the spend at this moment
I just bought 2 evolve 30m’s OMG 😳…. The 10” subs were MORE THAN ENOUGH…. They hit just as Hard as 15’s if not cheaper 18’s …. For the love of all things holy…. For a mobile DJ this thing is LEGIT! 😳😀👍🏻 it was 150people no issues whatsoever
Hello Brian...thx for the advice I'm grabbing some 30m speakers. Another question...what are those light sticks between your speaker and facade? Pretty cool. Please advise.
Hello Brian. I’d like to purchase the same tubes and Apelights that you have by your facade. Can you please list what I’ll need even what I’ll need to power them, do you have them plugged in together? Thanks in advance!!
Brian I have a question, I have a wedding coming up next Saturday . There will be about 70 people there and it’s a big banquet hall. Can I use the evolve 30m will it work but the hall is kinda of big. What do you think.
I live by the same idea of proper sound near dance area and appropriate sound for conversations in the room. Bass in this room you were in may have had some help from corner loading but all the same it's cool to see DJ's that do not need to be at 95db+ in every sq ft of a reception area. Were you approached for requests...and curious if you felt entirely comfortable in that situation with Covid concern? I primarily use JBL EON ONE (not Pro) in majority of my wedding applications.....I do add a Bose F1 for bass in many events though. Speakers are probably more similar than not. Thanks as always
The bass was not a problem. I was shaking ceiling tiles over the dance floor with mid bass. In fact, I try to use a 12" or smaller woofer for sub bass at weddings so the boom does not end up in the back of the room or in conversation areas. The lower you go in htz, the further the sound wave need to travel to "hit". So, if a larger sub produces lower bass frequencies & those waves need to travel longer distances to be fully realized, a DJ would just be throwing 40 htz at the back of the room, completely missing the dance floor in front of them. Ben Stowe may argue this with me, but really, in the field, this is how it seems to work. As far as requests went, I wore a mask & they wore a mask. Another idea may be to put business cards on tables & tell people to text you requests
@@briansredd I had my friend who owns a printing company make me up 5.5×4.25 note pads for requests, it also has my phone and business info so it is basically a business card too. I used a cassette design and requests went where artist info use to go on cassettes to look cute. The bass, is exactly a reason why I like the Bose F1 because its dual 10 inch woofers are not overpowering my typical size events. Cheers
Hi Brian, for the evolve 50s do you think it’s Necessary to buy the short poles as well. Just wondering if you think it’s practical to have them also. I just Ordered the evolve 50s. Just wondering if I should order the short poles too
Do you put the evs on the dolly or do you roll them in with the bags that ever makes for them. I'm thinking of buying the 50s but i use a dolly (krane amg 750) to roll everything in typically, so in just trying to figure out if I'm making it more difficult for myself if i get these.
The Evolve 30M has a more crispier PA like sound signature whilst the Pro 8 has a more hifi sound signature. Both EV and Bose sound just as good as each other in their own special way but IMHO you get more bang for your buck with the Evolve with its more comprehensive mixer along with better build quality. It's all down to personal taste IMHO.
@@madness8556 They actually sound nice played together. Bose has that nice full midrange but the high end is rolled off. EV has an excellent high end but lacking smooth mids. I have the Bose Pro32 which I pair with my EV30. I have never heard the Pro8 but assume it has the same Bose House Sound.
For events with 200. I own 2 ev30's. If I add an elx200 sub and hide it under the table behind the facade (adj event table) will it effect sound quality?
Damn I wish I’d seen this a couple of days ago.. I got a 1 evolve 30m and 1 evolve 50 seeing as a lot of the community seems to deem evolve 30 as not loud enough for 150+ people events, anyhow any recommendations for having that pair as the workhorse for most venues/weddings?
if youd like to post future tips, i started a new FB page, Wedding and Party Dj Tips and Stuff. I know it sounds bad but in a short amount of time I'm getting some traction. but zero $$$$ hope to see your posts, take care
There are too many differences to list, but I have used both. Evox 8 is a 12" woofer where this one is a 10", so a better comparison might be Evolve 50 vs Evox 8. I prefer the sound of anything Evolve series vs any of the current RCF compact array options. EV stuff is a lot easier to set up as well
Use an XLR cable to go from the main XLR out of the first Evolve 30M into channel 5 of the second Evolve 30M. Set the first speaker to left and the second speaker to right for stereo operation.
I don't know how ppl are happy with these evolve 30m I bought a pair to do small gigs and I'm not satisfied I'm not even feeling the bass. It plays jus like a ev zlx 15 smh

I love this video. I am so happy as I purchased these and haven’t been able to use them in the real world. I’m in Florida so maybe in the new year.

May I ask if you hooked them up to a dj controller and if so, whats the best way to hook up 2 of the ev30m's
@@billpatterson9361 I jus got a pair to dj for small venues and I'm not impressed I hav the bass on +2 and I'm not even feeling it

You'll get much more punch and the added bonus of being able to control the ELX200 from the same excellent EV app along with the Evolves
How do you think it would work inside of a third story garage? Thoughts?
What stand are you using… I need something other than my facade …. Thanks in advance
Great Video!!! I really dig my EV.
what are the light poles in your setup
No one on TH-cam do a demo on the vocals with reverb and delay. Why is that. I think some thing wrong.
Hello, good video, where can I get them? Thank you
