Waste Management Mack LE Amrep Octo ASL 101630

One of my favorite finds from over the years from Waste Management G.I. Industries was this old WM San Gabriel truck collecting old GI Rubbish Rotos in Simi Valley a few years back. The old Macks were mainly recycle trucks towards the end of their life, but a few of the spares made it to trash routes every now and then surprisingly. On this particular day, we actually managed to find 2 LE/Octos on trash in Simi Valley which was awesome. The old GI Rotos really add an extra touch of entertainment to me since none of the other cities in the area really have carts like that. The fast motor on the arm on this truck was one thing I also really enjoyed about this truck. Definitely one improvement from when I first found it years ago.
Enjoy veteran driver Jose Estrella hard at work on his big Simi Valley trash route. Great guy who has been at the garbage game for almost 40 years.
