I'm not an Indonesian but lived there for a while and have watched 2 java jazz fests and all i can say is that Indonesians really have a great taste in music. They also have pretty good musicians as well. they are influenced by jazz music mostly. Their annual jazz festival is a must watch
Indeed. They keep improving overtime. Now we have MRGHL... Maliq, RAN, GAC, HiVi, Lalahuta. They share similar groovy soulful jazzy orchestral R&B vibe in their music ^^

ucuz12 I guess it’s all based on the public demand of the artists too and I would disagree, yeah we have all these festivals, thats true, but international artists that come around uninvited from the festivals, we have a smaller amount of. For example 5sos and their asia tour, they came around to Japan and Singapore, but not Indonesia. I guess the demand is lower in Indonesia compared to said countries.

I did not say that it's for the better. What I'm saying is that people should be open minded to the fact that it's way different now. Why can't people just accept that? I go to festivals, there are artists that I would want to take a video of and other artist that I just want to feel their music and not use my phone at all.
