Awesome content! Very soothing as you talk about the game in a way not many others, soaking in the world that is given by the game, plus having the game played on PS2 is a big plus for originality's sake. I really hope so you'll make similar videos of Vice City and Bully, or even GTA IV!

But I'm very happy this time existed, as R* noticed the popularity back in the day, and made Big Foot a thing for Undead Nightmare, Big Foot for 100% completion in GTA V, also in GTA V we got UFOs along with the Gold Peyote Plants unlocking Big Foot as a playable Actor in Director Mode, Ghost of Mt. Gordo, the Supernatural stuff you find in RDR2 like the Ghost of the Bayou, the Ghost Train... I cannot wait to see what kind of mythical easter eggs will be found in GTA VI.
I just finnished the game myself, even though I've played it for every now and then since I was a teen. I really appreciate your videos, and you have such a nice voice to listen to. And it all makes me wanna return to the game, might even replay it but like really explore the places in accordance with the story.
Man I remember exploring this place so much as a teen, day/night/raining/foggy...found nothing obviously, but was so much fun, even without bigfoot the countryside and desert always felt a bit eerie
Below San fierro there is an outdoor plaza-esque area with shallow water pools that looks like a bunch of white/gray circles next to each other on the map. No mission brings you there and I found no way to get inside the buildings but there are pedestrians walking around.
The original version of "Fish in a Barrel " took place there. You were supposed to guard Ran Fa Li from the Da Nang Boys and eventually take him to Four Dragons where the cutscene we got would have ended it. But that is just speculation, if I'm not wrong.
all of those bigfoot, leatherface, ufo sightings, loch ness monster, Nemesis & others are all modded. I've played it and it was quite fun time to spend with it. and also the creatures have quite a long health as a shots of bullets is not enough to take em down.
Dude, for sure. I was around 11-12 when SA released. The countryside felt so mysterious, I’ll probably never have that feeling again about a game-since like you said, everything can be data mined now
8:44 The houses can be accessed through a robbery mission and they all have unique designs with full interior for you to steal. Back then I never knew we could enter them, truly mind blowing
12:07 i can actually relate to these tv placements, since when i was growing up i had a tv on the table just like that! And when i visited my friends, they had similar tv placements in their rooms seen as in the video! (one had it in the closet)
GTA San Andreas, The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind were a lot of people's first open-world 3D games. All spawn a long history of myths and creepypastas.
Yeah, the whole myth busting/myth hunting era of SA content was great. Badlands/the wilderness honestly always was my favorite part of the game, it's expansive, it's beautiful and it's such a good vibe to just drive around wilderness/from village to village. Though, there is indeed that one "ghost car", even if it was caused unintentionally by devs putting a spawn point on a slope if memory serves me right, surprised me when i first saw it back in the day too, but on the bright side i didn't have to walk back on foot. Currently doing one last 100% playthrough of SA, finally done with tags(screw whoever designed tags and vigilante missions by the way, those are the only 2 things i don't love about the game), so looking forward to getting to exploring it once again after i complete it.
I honestly cannot wait for what kind of weird mysteries there will be in GTA 6, the Grassrivers section of the map is bound to be packed full of spooky stuff, let alone the entire map I also have a spooky GTA story for myself, I had Liberty City Stories on my PSP when I was really young, and I remember vividly seeing one of those old 50s taxis flying in the air very slowly in an area underneath a subway bridge. It was floating around for almost a minute before it landed back on the ground and kept driving, and I stole it trying to see if I could make it fly. Very spooky glitch.
I got a original xbox the other day. Wa super happy to see it has san andreas installed with one of the oldest bigfoot mods on it an it fully works. Even after all these years i was still super happy to encounter bigfoot but on a console.. just felt.... right..
That ah...'suggestive' picture you found in multiple houses is actually a GTA Vice City easter egg--it's a texture that could also be found in spaces in that game, depicting 'Candy Suxx' an...adult entertainer you recruit to the questionable film studio property you can buy in that game. Given there's only six years between VC and SA, it makes sense copies of it would still be around.
And speaking about san fransisco, you should totally try to explore watch dogs 2. I had so much fun exploring that game for some reason, I even found myself mostly walking instead of driving in that game, the city is simply that fun to explore.
Dude, watching your videos I just realized how the ps2 atmosphere is way better than PC, even modded. That’s amazing! I used to play it on the ps2 and later on the PC, but always felt like it was missing something.
There is one little bug you can sometimes experience over by the empty cabin that is somewhat creepy. Sometimes the game will spawn in a few pedestrians on the mountain above. Having not been spawned on a sidewalk or near the road they inevitably try to walk over towards the nearest path and fall off the mountain to their death. Right before they splat though, they'll scream which depending where you're at, you might hear them scream but not see them, leading to rumors of disembodied voices. Turns out it's just the game having weird NPC spawns.
you're right that the building at 8:57 is based on an IRL landmark: it's modeled on Saint Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco, an iconic example of mid-20th century Modernist Catholic architecture. Fun fact: the cathedral was nicknamed "Our Lady of Maytag" by locals because it looks like the agitator in older washing machines. Also: the way its roof is curved creates some, um, "interesting" shadows at certain times of day.
9:07 This mod shop is unlocked if you buy Wang Cars, which would open up a few extra missions involving skillful driving, and complete these missions. It allows you to modify some high-end sports cars.

I just finnished the game myself, even though I've played it for every now and then since I was a teen. I really appreciate your videos, and you have such a nice voice to listen to. And it all makes me wanna return to the game, might even replay it but like really explore the places in accordance with the story.
the bigfoot bit really brings me back lmao
Data mining back in the day wasnt as common as it is now, especially when the PC version was still new.
This was a great video! Thank you
USS Liberty was a detail I wasn't prepared for lol
The ending scared the shit out of me oh god oh fuck
Oooooooh you got me gooooood with that... Well done..
Dude, for sure. I was around 11-12 when SA released. The countryside felt so mysterious, I’ll probably never have that feeling again about a game-since like you said, everything can be data mined now
these world tour videos are so bingeable, quickly taken over my recently watched
Really appreciate your earnestness and enthusiasm in a world filled with cynicism and criticism
Threre's a lot of another spaces "you ignored" in San Fierro. There's a cemetery, a hotel with an intersting pool, pink bar etc
I will be honest and say that i really love your intro: its so simple, nostalgic and memorable.
8:44 The houses can be accessed through a robbery mission and they all have unique designs with full interior for you to steal. Back then I never knew we could enter them, truly mind blowing
Man these were the days. So happy I got to live through this era
12:07 i can actually relate to these tv placements, since when i was growing up i had a tv on the table just like that! And when i visited my friends, they had similar tv placements in their rooms seen as in the video! (one had it in the closet)
i love the way you narrate i could listen to your videos for hours
Finally somebody else who remembers these. Really captured my childhood
GTA San Andreas, The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind were a lot of people's first open-world 3D games. All spawn a long history of myths and creepypastas.
I can't stop laughing at the Squidward Red Mist rumor XD 3:51
all the other stuff is fake, but that one is real. squidward is in the woods and he's coming for you
@@PretzelYT I'm shaking, quaking, peeing, and farting right now
i love these videos, something about them just brightens up my day
I love your videos they are so relaxing and educational
I honestly cannot wait for what kind of weird mysteries there will be in GTA 6, the Grassrivers section of the map is bound to be packed full of spooky stuff, let alone the entire map
I also have a spooky GTA story for myself, I had Liberty City Stories on my PSP when I was really young, and I remember vividly seeing one of those old 50s taxis flying in the air very slowly in an area underneath a subway bridge. It was floating around for almost a minute before it landed back on the ground and kept driving, and I stole it trying to see if I could make it fly. Very spooky glitch.
Please keep up the San Andreas videos, they’re awesome
Never played the early GTAs but I can def see the thread between them and Bully.
I really like your videos bro please never stop. Its lie watching 90s 2000s tv
And speaking about san fransisco, you should totally try to explore watch dogs 2. I had so much fun exploring that game for some reason, I even found myself mostly walking instead of driving in that game, the city is simply that fun to explore.
The Vice City action figures in the model shop was immensely funny to me as a kid for some reason.
Saw Lego Islands Pirates cave! That got a subscription from me :3
Dude, watching your videos I just realized how the ps2 atmosphere is way better than PC, even modded. That’s amazing! I used to play it on the ps2 and later on the PC, but always felt like it was missing something.
12:57 it’s crazy cause nowadays $100k house is dirt cheap…and the fact that’s in San Francisco is crazy
Bro you make me relive my childhood with the way you talk
3:25 When the edibles kick in.
ever since the Mt Chiliad bigfoot phenomena of San Andreas, Rockstar has been adding more and more metatextual easter eggs in their games.
the wheel arch angels building stands out because you can take your cars there to modify them
9:53 NEVER FORGET
loved it man
most relaxing san andreas video ive ever seen
14:24
In 20 years of intense playing, NEVER have I ever seen this area before. Am I tripping? How is that possible?
9:04 was a modification garage if you've done with Ceasar's mission, "wang cars"
Love these videos so much
I remember delving into the gamefaqs message board and seeing people posting about bigfoot and other mysterious in san andreas as a kid. Fun times.
you're right that the building at 8:57 is based on an IRL landmark: it's modeled on Saint Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco, an iconic example of mid-20th century Modernist Catholic architecture.
