    I love the videos and information provided! I am not a hockey player, but I have 3 kids who are. We ALL utilize the videos and nutritional information to work out together and gain knowledge and insight into how to be our best selves (player or not).

    How often should I do this in order to be in good shape for September?

      Hey Adam, I would combine it with other workouts. Check out our app Hockey Training TV we've got some great workouts for the off-season on there!

    As long as I can drink beer after, I'll try! I miss skating!!!

    How effective is this vs interval training? I’m looking to get in better shape for my league starting in September and I’m hoping to condition 3 days a week. I just ran through it for the first time tonight and by the end I was beat, but will I continue to see benefits after weeks of doing this routine?

      How "effective" a workout is relies on the goal of the workout + how it fits into the big picture of your programming. I am not really a fan of interval training because in almost all protocol it targets the incorrect energy systems that are specific to hockey conditioning. So, if it's conditioning you're after, I would definitely use these workouts to improve your hockey conditioning and use your diet to get leaner.
      But, at the same time, workouts should ideally not be performed for longer than 3-5 weeks at a time, so, a well-rounded "big picture" periodized program would be the best thing for you to get ready for September. You should check out our hockey skills accelerator, it will give you everything you need all in one shot: hockeytraining.com/vip-program

    How many times a week should I do this?

    • @hockeytraining

      2x would be good but it’s best used with a well thought out plan or program

    Is this a good workout for stamina? Seems to be more focused on strength.

    • @hockeytraining

      Because we designed this workout to help those who have no equipment and limited space we wanted to utilize strength/power movements but adjust the rest period to create a conditioning-based training stimulus. In a perfect world, athletes would be outside sprinting and/or skating for stamina, but, lots of times we're stuck indoors (especially these days) and workouts like these can really come in handy.

    Is this good for in season?

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be used if you're in a pinch -- but it's ideal to run an in-season specific system.
