It was awesome to shoot Garrett's 1965 E.R.A Shelby Cobra. This thing had such a good stance! Now I need to shoot a GT40.

Being from the UK we are used to high-powered BMW's, Audi's, Aston Martin's etc, but there is something really nice about the sound of American muscle cars. This thing sounds like a really big angry lion! Love it.
Thanks for watching!
Luckily AC are back and uk based, so you can buy the new 2023 AC cobra for as little as £240,000 pounds 😭😭 so, if you want one of these you can get them but, with the cost of living crisis…
So beautiful
Replica Cobra’s done right are the coolest!
I know right!
i agree , but wrong tail lights
Right? Unusual to see one with a real big block, usually a small block stroked and bored, but those are fun too! Bias plies, closest you'll get to an authentic feel..
Where is ERA based? Which would be better choice- Supaformance or ERA?
@@keithw372 for a true S/C sure, but the later years did have round taillights
Sweet!
When I was a kid I did 'work experience' at a local garage. They had a customer's Cobra 427 rep in the shop for the whole 2 weeks I was there and when they went out for lunch I would stay behind and eat my sandwich in the Cobra. It was a better lunch companion than those guys, for sure.
Awesome!
I'd slap ya for dripping jelly from your PBJ all over my Cobra 😉
A previous boss of mine owned a Factory 5 (I believe) cobra.
I've loved cobras since I was a kid.
He claimed it was about 800 hp.
I raced him while driving my 91 Audi 200 20v (mildly modded).
I beat him by multiple bus lengths.
Truthfully, I was disappointed.
Then I drove the cobra.
It was brutal.
Zero traction (the only reason I beat him) but exhilarating.
The sound, the smells, the wind in your face, the power (plus tye insanely awesome looks)..
It demanded absolute respect.
If that thing could grab the road better it would have blown my doors off.
Such a great car.
1965 Cobras have some serious race vibes really loved them whether they are replicas or originals
It’s actually a race car. Back in the day’s, Carroll Shelby drove it at races like Le Mans and Ken miles drove it at willow springs
no electric car will ever be able to produce the kind of responses from people this car is capable of evoking.
I effin' SMASHED that like button!
Such relaxed hosting and no gimmicks for extra views makes all the content go down easy like a smooth drink! Visible pure car joy! Well done!
Thanks, I appreciate the support
@@FourSpeedFilms he is the car floor Sell
The handling on cobra is my favorite I love the way it hugs the road
The more you drive an ERA, the more you appreciate it. The one thing I tell anyone wanting to acquire a cobra replica is get one with an independent rear setup. We did runs through the mountains when I was back east. The cars with IRS were fine. The cars with solid axles were all bottoming out when the roads got a little technical & rough. Also, don’t over do it with Horsepower. The original 427 cars were at about 550hp. You don’t need that much. Certainly don’t need more. With the weight of these cars, they are already a GoKart with a V8. They will be a thrill at 350hp. Be safe, have fun! Beautiful ERA!
One of the best examples I have seen. What a beast! 💪
In the event of a crash, fold and hug knees🤣
Say yo prayers
Love it! When I was 12 years old in 1977 I rode in an original 427 Cobra. My dream car ever since! Yep, I'm old!!! Lol One of the baddest cars on your channel for sure. Badass
That's my dream car. I've seen an original 67 in a showroom at a dealership my worked at when I was a kid. Beautiful car.
Have had mine for around 4 months and it's been a blast to drive
This Cobra is so tastefully done! Keep content like this coming.
Thanks!
@@FourSpeedFilms is it for sell
I could never get tired of that gorgeous noise! 😍 Thank you for a great video.
IM 😎
Finally a video where someone actual drives it like it was made to be driven!! Thank you!! Dream car!!
Anything Shelby touched turned to gold. The man had an eye for the beautiful and amazing when it came to cars. I realize it’s a replica but Shelby by design. It sounds mean and sound gives me goosebumps. Can’t get that feeling from electric.
You know Shelby didn't actually design the body of these cars, right? They were an existing British sports car with a crappy motor that he beefed up with a Ford V8 and better suspension…
Goosebumps?! Hell... Just grab hold of the positive and negative leads of your EV's battery pack... It'll really make yer hair stand on end! 🧟🥴
Great video, Ben. Cool, organic and soulful. Thanks!!
soooooo beautiful sound❤
So much fun, great video.
Seriously can’t stop watching this video. Looks and sounds so damn good!
Thanks! I’ll be posting a new one in an hour
One of my all-time favorite cars
Wow this thing is amazing and would put a smile on anyones face. I would love to have this and a modernized version.
Smiles galore ..love it keep well guys
Hell of a car for going in a straight line.
One day we're going to miss these exhaust sounds.
Dude that looks and sounds SICK!!!!
The sound man….it’s just perfect
So good!
Shelby cobra. The essence of cool sports cars.
The most beautiful car ever made
Great film work and most importantly, great sound capture! Good job man. His comment on the shifter being located in the reverse of normal position had nothing to do with leverage. The transmission was so far past the driver, it would have been all but impossible to reach it in the normal position. The whole driveshaft was something like 6" long!
Great cars on this channel and the videos are well produced and edited, good angles/ cinematography and music choice.
One of the most beautiful cars ever imo.
Most beautiful thing I have ever seen!!!!
That thing is pure fun and a head turner all day
Amazing video Ben! Man the cobra sounds and looks soo good🔥 I couldn’t imagine having all that horsepower in such a light car!
Thank you!
Cool guy, cool cars, awesome video… as always. Thanks from France Ben 😎
Bad ass, perfect colour combo, beautiful yet a beast at the same time 🔥💪🏻🔥
Dope Quality, this is literally my favorite Muscle car. 💪🏿💪🏿
I love that he is running an fe. Have a unique sound. AWESOME!!
For sure!
Hi ben, been watching your channel for a while now and just wanted to let you know that you inspire a lot of people outside the US. I'm from Brazil and I'm building a chevy opala myself. Your videos are dope, keep up the good work as always. Maybe someday I will create a channel for me as well
That’s awesome to hear! Keep it up
Fantastic! My dream car. Well done!
Thx Ben, that was cool
This man really has taste in cars !
Probably one of the best colour combo’s and wheel sets I’ve seen on one of those 🙌🏻🤙🏻
Couldn't agree more!
The Cobra, the original was my favourite British sports car!
Definite dream car. Unreal how those acceleration shots make it look like you pushed the fast forward button!
Crazy stuff!
Love the color and that thing sounds amazing. Replica or not this is badass!
The AC Cobra. Good old British engineering with American muscle.
this is my "it" car! great video, thank you for making this!!!
Shelby was a GOODYEAR distributor - so many replicas use "off brand" tires.Good to see authenticity.
Classic, raw speed.
Sweet car, looks like you had a blast but those Randy Macho Man sunglasses had me cracking up the whole time!!!
The best looking front end and profile out there!
For sure!
Sick ride
Awesome car. I’ve wanted one for a long time.
A master piece !
Man that Cobra just looks and sounds soooo right! Great video, thanks!
So cool!
Been binge watching cool to see another young guy doing car stuff can't wait to get my vw beetle
Cool!
Nice! He was my inspiration for my 69 mustang coupe with a 460 but unfortunately she'll be gone soon due to life changes but maybe one day.
SAME! This is quality content right here. I can't believe this guy only has 50k subs, u deserve 50mil!!
That’s one super fine sled
Speed of light
Gorgeous Shelby for real
"SPRING LITTLE COBRA, GOING TO SHUT YOU DOWN... TOOK MY COBRA OUT OF GEAR AND LET IT COAST TO THE LINE"🎶🎶🎶
I always like the drive on Santa Rosa Rd. When I lived in Northridge, would visit my in-laws in Camarillo. Now, when I visit my parents in Northridge, I STILL take Santa Rosa Rd. to visit my mother-in-law. Not sure exactly where you are, but the backroads of Ventura County look very similar.
Gorgeous car, really well done
Exactly how a Cobra should look. Lovely car!
My parent's car was the first one I drove with power steering. Even my 65 Dodge Dart Charger had no power anything. Even drum brakes. I finally got power steering in my 69 Mustang Fastback, Still had drum breaks though. Also my first car with Air! I had side pipes in my 50 Chev Truck. They got hit with water and gravel from the front tires and got holes blasted in them. I still love the Cobras!!! I forgot the times but they went from 0 to 100 and back down to 0 in seconds!
If only British Engineering with an American muscle engine hit the road more. It looks just as fun to drive as the Ariel Atom, just more practical, a different kind of sound, beauty and beast from a different era. Great upload.
It has a nice trunk space.
My dads old GT 500 had a 428 scj , amn! torque that thing had!
Your videos are quality man! Keep it up!
Thanks! I try👌
" great video !" " awesome cobra color " everyone loves iconic ❤️ " ac cobra " when you turn the corner " kids come yelling out houses " best responce ever!" Cheers from australia 🇦🇺
That should be on everyone’s wish list!! 👍🏻
It’s sure on mine
Very cool Cobra, and a very well done video!
You always have good music
The content you've been putting out lately have been really awesome. Great work!
Thanks I appreciate it!
Very good leaf blower too
Great car mate I’m a big fan from Australia. Your production quality has gone through the roof. Love the content mate.
Much appreciated!
Amazing!!
Thanks dude
Oh lawd, that sound!!
Wow totally sick alrite I just had to watch this video cause of the 1960s song HEY LITTLE COBRA so I had to learn more about the cobra after all I've loved this oldies song since I was a kid
Good song!
One day when I was a kid standing on the street corner, a Cobra turned right at the light, right in front of me. I heard that 427 out of thise side pipes... that sound changed me... hot rods with big V8's... nuthin like it!
Beautiful 🙌🙌🙌🙌
The sound of this one!! God damn, it was the best sounding car I've heard in a long time :)
Awesome video man keep it up!!
My DREAM car for sure!!
I have chills
Pure Gold
Sick car! Thanks for sharing. I bet it feels like driving a rocket powered go cart :)
Yeah it’s awesome!
Nailed it with this one for sure 👍🏻
Thanks!
Unreal!! Living the dream.
Thanks for watching!
Looks like it has a lower stance. love it
You can call that real RIDE👍
Beautiful
Super nice ride...
Love cobras 🐍 always wanted one
That is a well done kit, my only commiseration is, it doesn’t have a backwards, sweep speedometer, possibly my favourite amenity of the car
Awesome video ! Cool whit the music too !
I have a Shelby 427 Cobra with an aluminum side oiler which is 625HP it weighs 2400 pounds so his ERA is more like 2600 pounds with an iron 428. ERA makes a great Cobra kit.
Cool!
Morgan, I have an ERA with a 428 and I think your estimate of 2600 lbs. is spot on.
