  • A fun deathtouch and infect combination using Fynn, the Fangbearer as our commander. The deck focuses heavily on combat damage.

      There is so many cards I was thinking of that would give deathtouch to all your creatures

      Same with yedora from strixhaven.

    Maulfist Revolutionary...card has been fantastic for me in Fynn

    This deck feels so weird for a green deck, like normally green is big creatures or massive ramp, and this is dinky litle 1/1s... actually quite similar to the normal build of edric spymaster of tress

      Exactly, it's a nice change of pace when it comes to card design for me.

      Quick question, you may have said this before, but what resources do you use for deck building as a whole? Like how useful is skyfall or edhrec

    • @CommanderVoid
      @CommanderVoid  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scryfall is great if I need to narrow down my search for specific keywords or creature types. I also use EDHREC just to understand the overall themes better.

      Also one more question, is a pet card or flavor win for a deck worth it, cause I've got an o-kagachi deck with all the kirins and dragon spirits and man is the diffrence in power obvious when playing

    Awesome deck tech. I ordered Fynn, the Fangbearer as a birthday present for my buddy, along with a few other Kaldheim showcases. He's new to commander and a viking enthusiast so it seemed like a no-brainer. I'm hoping this will be the nudge he needs to dive head first into the format.

      Sweet! Budget decks are easy to make and often make great presents for new players.

    Why not use some first strike or double strike equipments? with Deathtouch is something no one wants to mess with

      I thought about doing the same thing myself, but I've noticed my wincon is more or less built around Yawgmoth/Zulaport Cutthroat. Maybe I'll still find a way to figure it out.

      @BFG I'm trying to decide whether or not I should incorporate token generators or put that focus into something else

    • @BFG93
      @BFG93 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Dudez20ful tokens is good but unless youre tutoring some dtouch token makers its very unreliable. And the few dtouchs you get will be targeted/you will be hated out depending on play group.
      Good addition though is the human warlock that gives em all dtouch when attacking and hexproof depending if theyre tapped. Bow of nylea.
      My version focused on small creatures getting through, so nearly all dtouch creatures with all big things guarantee hits or damage. Giving intimidate or champion of lambholt with a slight +1/+1 counter engine ( basically used the counters to build em up, and late game turn em into mana dorks with elf legend and the planeswalker as well as cryptolith rites). It works cause its fast aggressive deck.
      But again depends on the group but if you can stall out tokens can work but youre reliant on deathtouch been given. Not inherent.
      P.s mutate is really good for the deck. The removal becomes a buff with more keyword like trample whjch improves damage chances.

    I threw Cathedral Of War in mine. Makes swinging in with just one creature quite the conundrum for my opponents.
