- Hi folks, It's not everyday a knapper has the opportunity to work on a tab of flint this size. I've had this big blue piece of Georgetown for quite some time now and have just been waiting foe the right day to take it on. At some point I plan on making a large blade but that's for another day.
I appreciate y'all watching.

That piece would definitely make the greatest dance blade.
That's my thoughts as well
I was gritting my teeth every strike. Nicely done sir!
Me to 😆
Just kinda stumbled into knapping videos and i must say that theres a really incredible artistry to this sort of thing
It's a fun hobby. You should give it a try
Eccentrics
One huge biface, gosh Danny you were running some very serious flakes on that piece man. That has to set some sort of record ,great job .
Thank you
I hated to hear John was having strength and health problems and is pretty much retiring but glad to see you may be buying his collection of tools and materials. 😎🏹
I love Mr. John, and I'll be honest, I had a little tear watching that last night, and I wish that opportunity wasn't there, but it is, and I'm looking forward to moving forward with it.
@@DannyCollinsLithicsAndLeather yeah I get attached to people man. When the Elder of our Generation are gone they'll be a great loss of knowledge

Damn brother that is a good sized Peace . Looking good 👍 Gene Gorringe Mi ✌️🇺🇲
Thank you, Sir. Appreciate you watching
Very nice.
Thanks for the video.
Thanks Paul
I'm like you I don't understand why some people says slabs is cheating but then they'll pick up a tab and work it. It's really just a natural slab. preserving the resource is a good thing I don't understand it.😂
Hi Shane, I appreciate you watching, keep Knapping

Thank you, brother.
I cut my teeth on Arizona basalts and obsidian and Glass buttes Obsidian. for 30 years I was a bone and stone tools loyalist. Only recently have I knapped texas cherts and used copper. Watching these type of videos, inspired me to knapp again. thank you for showing this,,,
Thank you, I was watching a video yesterday of a fella knapping an adze from Hawaiian basalt. Looked like some really nice material.
Hello, good morning. Is that one of the biggest pieces you have by faced yet? What an awesome job you did that would make a nice big meat cleaver😂👍
Good morning Jeff, yes sir that's the biggest I've bifaced yet.
I like the reduction videos just as good as a point video,my thoughts on what i would do with the biface,#1 tell your wife where you stash it,i would probably forget lol,but bring it out on my 1yr or 2yr anniversary when i started knapping
Thanks, Mike. I appreciate you watching, and saving it for an anniversary is a great idea. 👌
Nice. I thought you might go for a sweetwater biface.
Thank you, Jason Newman is the only guy I know that might be able to pull that off, and I'm not sure he's ever actually got one to completition.
Too many commercials
TH-cam subscription is the only way to go. No commercials.
Seams like a waste of good product what in the world would you kill with it a Peterbuilt!
If mammoths 🦣 ever returned, I'm covered 😆.
Thanks for watching.
I think if you used a bigger bopper you could have achieved better success at thinning that piece and not wasted so much material. Just saying….
Bigger bopper would have definitely helped in the beginning. I was just concerned with breaking it..
Appreciate you watching. 🙏
