This is so hauntingly beautiful with some of the most gorgeous animation I've seen from Madhouse in a while. Hopefully nobody forgets about it and it will get a Best ED nom for next year
@@Thesketchfox The animation, in general, is a bit lacking. I think the op was actually pretty decent compared to the background "movement" we've seen in the first episode
Honestly I skipped the ED on the first few episodes but now I love hearing this ED start at the end of each episode. Now I watch the whole episode entirely.
now that i actually listen to the lyrics, i like the song even more. if it's actually talking about the series, then it seems to be some kind of dream/alternate world? it would explain a lot of things

SaikaVA Hell it'll probably be my favorite ED of the year! It is in my top 2 or 3 ED of all time for me oddly (one of my top 3 ED is Boogiepop Phantom's I swear Boogiepop has good music no matter what it does. )
I keep forgetting this came out this year, it was such a strange show. I really feel like it was entertaining, but im conflicted if it was trying to say something or not. I haven't been this conflicted about the value of an anime sense I first watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya like 10 years ago.
I would read the visual novel - it's a a very easy read. The author makes his points much more clear in the exposition, but the series itself focuses on daily troubles that we all face in life, coping mechanisms, psychological abnormalities, and an emphasis on individuality and finding your own path - overcoming hardships and adversities to grow rather than assimilation to the norm.
@@phatchrispratt5392 Well said. Ill check it out then on such a strong recommendation with interesting topics like that. Funny enough before this anime came out this series has been in my wishlist to buy the light novels sense I started watching the Kara no Kyokai movies but i just never pulled the trigger on buying it. I think i will now though thank you.
Damien As a light novel reader it was actually very hard to enjoy it. Yeah the story don't seem to be easy to adapt into an anime and with all limited episode they chose to adapt the first book. The characters were just rushed, there was more to them.
@@1theprince1 waiting is probably the best choice. this almost feels like it would be a great show to binge watch. i am watching it week to week and it can be difficult to keep up with characters and stories because there are so many story lines happening at once. you have to pay very close attention each episode and maybe rewatch the previous one before the new one. that being said, the story is very well told and i found myself caring a lot about the characters and how their plot develops.

Watch Boogiepop and Others here! got.cr/Watch-BoogiepopOPED
This is one of the most underrated ending themes ever. It's so fucking good!
underrated anime you mean haha
Both ending and opening are bomb 🔥🔥
Michelle Brito I agree 😂 even though I thought you said dumb for a second
Person who ruined the zero dislikes, I hate you. It looked so clean with a 0. It fit the clean style of the ending. It now just feels _dirty_ .
I second your statement
I almost hope that person is a threat to the world.
18 dislikes xD
Ditto
All dislikes are gone. Are you happy now?
This is so hauntingly beautiful with some of the most gorgeous animation I've seen from Madhouse in a while. Hopefully nobody forgets about it and it will get a Best ED nom for next year
I feel like I'm the only one who likes the ed a bit more than the op

The op visuals is a bit lacking
Not alone

Same
I really need a creditless version of this. It's amazing.
underrated anime! I saw boogiepop in 2020. I didn’t expect anything, but got everything.
Nice both op and Ed are amazing that's how u know something is the real deal
Today -January 4, 2020- is the first Boogiepop 2019 anniversary! Hopefully we get another season :(
I hope too, my fav anime so far
2 years already)
@@zaicol850 yep lol
Seeing how fast they pushed it aside Don't expect anything new for a while.
...
It's been such a long while since I've seen an opening and ending go so well together with the anime damn
dare I say I like the ending a bit more
now this is epic
Just finished watching Boogiepop and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I might check out the visual novel. Well, maybe one day...
Light novel*
Probably one of the more underrated endings of this year
This anime is just wonderful, EVERYTHING about it is.
Fax it’s just slappers
This reminds me a bit of Shinsekai Yori's first ending.
Same, that ending was sooooo good!!
Except they sound completely different and have completely different meanings. But yes, both are great endings.
@@drjebediah I was talking more about the graphic design, especialy the "falling trough laps" scene.
Its probably by the same director (Masashi Ishihama)
@@KoyomiMidoriIt's not. Boogiepop's ending was directed, storyboarded and animated by Keiichiro Saito
I watched the first episode and I'm very intrigued!! Can't wait for the next ep!!
I simply LOVE the transition between scenes here at 0:43!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God bless minimalism
There's a whole anime on minimalism, monogatari series
This ending is lit!
El mejor ending de temporada ♥

☆,☆,☆,☆,☆. Like the Song.
Reminds me a little to Shinsekai Yori's ending. I love it
Its rare for a show to have a good op and ed
Love love love the 80s synth opening!
*2019’s Devilman Crybaby*
More like 2019's Lain
Ash Lain and D.C. in a blender ok
That title belongs to Dororo it's more fitting
Best ending in this season?
Never Die I'll be surprised to even find a better ending this year.
Still too soon to judge. Its only the start. Would wait two weeks and then compare again and maybe the full version sucks who knows xD
Boogiepop killed it with the OP and ED regardless of what else comes out it still going to be hard to beat
I give it to promised neverland
Personally I prefer dororo ed, but this is definitely close 1st
Anime of all time I love you so much Boogiepop
I wish I could erase my memories and watch this anime again for the first time
Have you watched Boogiepop Phantom?
@@frankjaeger2565 yeah, also a wonderful anime

I was just playing Take me on by Abyssmare in D4DJ earlier when I remembered this song. Abyssmare cover of Whiteout would be sooooo good!💖😍
that smile at the end is gold ^_^
Bruh, this ending's fire XD
God I hope we get another season if only because that would then adapt the currently untranslated boogiepop novels into English
It's never gonna happen is it? This series is staying mostly language locked for all eternity isn't it
