Great to have an updated recipe. I've always used wheat malt and flaked oats with mine, but thankfully I always have light munich in stock. Excellent video and good to see you back in front of the camera, Cheers
Hi Neil, I’ve put a link to the recipe in the description. Hope you brew it and enjoy it. Ps. The Munich is a substitution for Cornish Gold as it wasn’t available at the time but now it can be purchased from The Malt Miller. Cheers
It’s been a while Mr C, love your video's. All my favourite Home Brewers seem to have dropped off the planet! Where’s Homebrew Chris? Even Dudes Brews doesn’t seem to do much these days. I know it’s an enormous effort, so thanks for you’re time and effort. Cheers mate.
After all these years, just when you thought you've perfected this recipe, you have improved it some more. This has been on my brew list for yonks. Good to see your face again 🍻
It’s a good one to make Russ! It’s great making the yeast from the bottled version and then adding the light Munich and hops at flame out have made a difference! Prefer this version now. Probably nothing like the original but a good beer nonetheless! 👍🍻🍻🍻 I’ll have to buy a bottle now and compare!🙄
It's good to catch up with what you've been up to. Another brew day and another recipe for Proper Job and it sounds like you're hapiper than ever with this one.
Lovely to see you back Clive. A great video as always from you the Master brewer! After tasting your brews you are the best mate !!! My love and best wishes to all of you down there in the heart of England👍👍👍
Bleddy funny one the old PJ. as you know, I;ve tried it many times and can't get away from that awful grassy taste , which doesn't exist in the original. I'm sure it's the cascade. The bottled version (which an SA original of currently sits next to me) is lovely but a full percent stronger than the cask one but interesting about the temperatures and hop back pressurised hopping! Thank you for the recipe, will try all those things you mention and see how it goes. It's such a good beer, it seems wrong to do it and get it wrong!
Cheers! Yes he is! I’m seeing him today in fact. I’m sure there’ll be a video or two coming soon as he’s setting up a new brewing system in his shed! As a tradesman, I enjoy his DIY videos very much! 😉😉😂

I don’t think I’ve ever made it as good as the one I sent you John but I do like the new recipe and the flameout addition is definitely better!👍
