You are right abiut the sea dip. We stayed in the Roosevelt in LA and we were in the outdoor pool and the cleaning lady was shocked and asked why are we in there when it us so cold. It was like our best summer day in the UK😂
If u ever go back to myakka all you got to do is pull up to that north exit gate and it will open automatically once u get close enough....u can only enter on weekends, exit anytime.....
Just moved from Saint Petersburg to Idaho. I will miss the warm winters but needed some mountains and open spaces in my life. I just wish FL wasnt so overdeveloped and overcrowded. You have to come visit North Idaho. You will fall in love. As always I enjoy your videos.
My son asked his fiance to marry him at the top of that canopy view. January 15th was the day he asked her. Their 10th Anniversary. I love Myakka State Park. Living here I try to get there as much as I possibly can. Thank you for sharing. Bless you and yours!!! 🙏❤🇺🇸😊
Yes, Spanish moss holds a certain allure but when we came up here 40 yrs back, there used to be ads regarding removal of the blue/green stuff. To the trees, it's like a dog with fleas. Just saying!
My family is in Venice..it’s so much fun to see you drive around the spots I will get to see again in a few short weeks! Thanks for making me smile.. i likes the park also, I met one of the squirrels by the lake.. at least it was not a gator!
Very enjoyable video Robert. I don't think we will ever make it to Florida. Oregon born and raised. Wife finds it hard to travel so you fill the spot. Much thanks.
Hi Robert we stayed at the same Cracker Barrel and the people at Lazzy Day’s RV’s we’re very nice and let us dump our tanks 👍 but decided not to go the the RV show to many people for us. We went to Clear Water Beach, West Palm , Miami instead had a great time in Florida.
Robert, thanks for the wonderful trip down memory lane, we have been to all the places you visited hundreds of times. We lived in Bradenton for over 50 years and I retired from Tropicana after a 32 year career. If you go back to the area make sure you visit Robinson Preserve in Bradenton and get a grouper sandwich and an IPA at the Salty Dog Cafe in Sarasota, it's right on the water behind a marina on City Island. The Ringling Museum is also worth visiting.
I thought I saw you there. I was staying in a cabin and drove past you when you were near the bridge filming. I thought it was just my imagination. Now I’m sorry I didn’t stop. Myakka is one of my favorite parks. Growing up in Sarasota, this video felt like home. I love your travel videos.
Robert, I love Venice for the sharks teeth! The sand is so dark in color .. I'm a marine science teacher.. it has the typical quartz grains seen at Siesta, etc, plus dark grains.. these are from fossilized remains of all kinds of animals, and those fossils get ground up into sand grain size grains. This area, and many others, are rich in fossils, such as sharks teeth, from the Peace River formation dating back millions of years ago. If you look at the sand of Venice, it's a black/white salt and pepper blend. Very unusual for Florida. My rec, to find the best teeth, snorkel in the breaking waves and by the jetties. I just use a mask and hold my breath as it involves a lot of diving down to be close to the sandy bottom.. have found some good ones that way but its not for everyone. Great city, glad you could check it out. Last time I was there, I found a cute small brown octopus hiding in a paper fig shell I picked up while diving / snorkeling.. I carried it up to the beach and he walked out onto my hand to greet my wife and I.. lol...we put him and his home back of course. Love your vids.
Very beautiful trip.Nice beaches on The Gulf of Mexico. The trees in Myakka Park are my favorites. Congrats......and I see you on the road... Love MOM...>>>
In mid June my Wife and I took a trip over to Sarasota for a week. On the way there we passed by Myakka State Park. Venus area is nice too. We definitely need to try that out. We moved from RI where we RV'd a lot. We are just starting to get out camping again.
I am so glad I moved to Florida 4 years ago. Now I’m thinking about traveling by RV. I will see what happens with my job, the pandemic, etc. Thank you for giving me a great video vacation!
Such a pleasure! Thank you for showing us my hometown. Here in DC to watch over mother..ugh.....This video will get her acquainted with her new Hometown! Sarasota/ Venice I'm headed Back in 5,4,3,2,1
Your videos are so interesting, calm, enjoyably...omg the list go on and on! Such a pleasure to listen or watch your videos. I watch all day long! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻😌 thank you!
Something about the southwest part of Florida I enjoy. I used to travel to Naples/Ft. Myers just to get away from the crazyness of Miami. I've heard of Myakka state park but never been. Looks very nice.
Good one, Robert! Love all of your videos and wonderful musical compositions. I am so glad that you have been putting the titles on the musical pieces. It is sooooo relaxing!! I used to chuckle at the way you would emphasize the words in your sentences. Reminded me of Bella Lagosi. Loved the European trip (2006 and later of Spain and France). Also, the trip to Norway/Sweden. Your editing is so, so good! Brilliant!!! Yes, I am ready to go to the Oeste de Florida. Mucho gusto por todo!!
We absolutely love Myakka River State Park! We have visited it many times, can't wait for the day we can camp there. Thank you so much for taking us along on both trips. Lol
Robert I really enjoyed your video of Matlacha . I wish you would get back that way. I can't wait to travel there from Tampa as it looks very laid back and peaceful
Greetings Robert! Sure is nice to spend a bit of my Sunday morning visiting Florida with you. I camped at Myakka River back in 2002. I saw lots of gators, included a huge one hanging out underneath the bridge. Being from California, seeing gators was exciting and a little bit scary at the same time, knowing they were wandering around not all that far from my campsite.
Good sound. Great video! I was at Myakka River State Park last winter/spring by the highway in my Toyota Prius. I hiked in on some of the trails which I wish were better marked. I hiked several miles. I did not go into the park with my car but I may go there one day. Venice looks beautiful with all the trees there. I live in Port St. Lucie, FL. and I get out and hike around the state in the cooler months. I had driven over to Cape Coral before the virus got bad. I did go to the gulf beach just to see the other side and do remember it being very windy and cold one day when I was there. It might have been around the same time you were there. Once this pandemic gets over, I think my wife and I will try to travel some more. We do miss it and we don't have an RV but I'll try to keep an open mind and who knows, maybe one day we'll get one. Good luck, have fun and stay safe! Here's my website, which shows some of the places I've gone to and right now I've been adding some of my Florida Hikes: backpack-and-gear.com/
I remember when I was home in January watching the live stream thinking man this is gonna be a great year..........................................Will be good to see the short winter season you produce. Cheers!
Us too, but overall it has stayed the same as past years, but we are blessed to live in a small farm town. But it has cost all of us a lot of things we normally would be doing, enjoying. For us it cost us a farm show that we have never missed the past 21 yrs, that happens to be a great client of ours too. We made, what I think will be our one and only county fair last night. So glad that Robert was able to capture what he did last year of some places that may never be the same.
Great video! Seeing much of Florida reminds me much of my childhood while visiting my grandma there. Gotta visit Florida soon again. Again, thanks so much for having us on the road with you. What kind of drone do you have? I am impressed how far it can go out from where you were standing at. See you on the road soon! 🤟🏻😊🤟🏻
@@AmberBaerlin do not worry, Robert will return to MI. He knows there is so much that he missed, but at that time he was on a tight schedule and was obligated to make Hershey RV show.
Good morning Robert, This video makes me yearn for Florida and the beaches, but the 'black plague' thing is ruining it for everyone. It was a nice escape and always a great production. As always, have fun and be safe.
At 13:18, when you start talking about VPN, there is a Gray Colorado with Winnebago just equal your new one for Summer 2020! It tricked my mind as I thought: Wait a minute, he started the trip with the old one! Or maybe is you that backed from future somehow! LOL! Greetings from Rio de Janeiro.
We spent a couple of nights there at the end of June. We were visiting family in our hometown, Sarasota. It truly is a beautiful park! The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. The only complaint would be the temperature. It was so hot and humid during the day at this time of year. We plan on visiting again in cooler weather. Btw, growing up in Sarasota, Siesta Key was our stomping ground. Lido Key is beautiful as well, you can canoe in the mangrove tunnels and eat at The Columbia Restaurant. Venice is beautiful as well. You should visit Cortez Fla and Anna Maria Island! You can watch the all white pelicans from Swordfish Grill Tiki bar/restaurant. Love all your videos! As someone else mentioned, it felt like being home watching this video truly. Thank you for posting! xoxo

It is supposed to be pretty efficient so it would be good.
