I loved the Behind The Crest style with the vlog approach! It provided much more insight into players' personalities. Emma is truly the kindest coach, and her treating the girls to get their nails done was very sweet. It’s so cool seeing everyone being calm and confident in themselves. Keep it going, guys!
Yup. But Emma isn't the whole brain trust. She has her pick of the litter for assistant coaches. She brought some of her Chelsea staff along. She kept Twila Kilgore as the day to day coach. She's been working on this whole mess since before she was announced. This is the start of her big career. She's not going to blow it.
To answer Trin's question, what I liked best about the video was seeing you all so happy and enjoying yourself. The team has been through so much growing pains, all they back from the last World Cup and even the last Olympics. I hvae always noticed that the teams that are happy, smiling ete win games over the stressed out game play. Good Luck today again Aussie! I get goosebumps whenever I hear Emma speak. So poised and inspiring!!! You can see how much the players care about her and how much she cares about them.
I listen to Emma and she is a really good communicator. She makes connection with everyone. That's a number one trait of a great leader... and a coach.
Crystal Dunn is an OG, but she still seems to bring a youthful vibe to the team, Trinity is still my favorite because she is goofy and not afraid to show her true emotions - but it is wierd how such a talented player can still be somewhat insecure about her talent.
I love this so much. It’s awesome to see the team having fun, feeling connected, and playing with joy and freedom on the pitch. I believe Vlatko was a kind man and a good coach who cared about the players, but something about his coaching style and on-pitch strategies obviously just weren’t working well for this team. Emma seems to have unlocked something new with this group, and it’s so great to see. Keep going, USWNT! You’re killing it, and we’re all rooting for you no matter what. ❤
