thanks I use two wire a InkBird ITC 1000 temp control (12 volt) to control the automatic window openers. WindyNation (2pcs) 12 Volt, 225 lbs Linear Actuators, and OONO Forward and Reverse Relay Module for Motor/Linear Actuator, Reversing Relay Module (DC 12V). I been working for years now. I made my window and doors out of 2 by 2's.
Nicely done! And great video editing and narrative! Lots of good ideas and information. I was hoping to see how to vent the hot air caught up high in the house in the summer. Are you going to do a top vent system?
I'm glad it was helpful. What update on the design is be very careful about edges. I just got a big rip from a windstorm tore apart a lot of the greenhouse. But the great thing about this design is you can upgrade the plastic when you're ready
So $148 dollars is what it cost me. I have collected some of the stuff over the years. All of the things that I did not include in the price are really easy to source second hand in my area. a lot can be gotten for free. Hopefully in your area too. The carports get thrown out all the time when the tarps rip!
Yes just remove the wood baton from the outside and the plastic will come off. Plastic was not our first choice but we had to get it done fast to protect the Avocados! Our plan is to replace the plastic with old windows as we have time and resources. Eventually we will replace the roof as well with some sort of reclaimed a recycled door or roofing material that's transparent. That is what I really like about the system is it's easy to swap out the plastic for recycled Windows doors & roofing!
I was given the carport by a friend and a lot of the stuff in the video I had been collecting over the years. So you do need to harvest stuff to get it at that price. But you could probably get it for free on Craigslist or Facebook people throw those things out all the time!

GREAT IDEA!!!!
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it!

Thank you! Most likely I will mount the solar fan at the peak. And I will likely also mount in an old window that I can open.
Thank you so much for posting this! I'm looking at ideas to repurpose my 12x20 shelter logic car port :)

Very helpful! I know that the plastic will weaken and tear over time-just remove the outer wood framing parts and replace the plastic that breaks?

Genius❤
Where can I order the cover plastic like your?
I got mine at my local hardware store. They do have it at Amazon.
Here is an amazon link amzn.to/3RqgQJg
What roll size you get? For it to reach both ends of the width
So the price isn't accurate if you don't have the carport already?

Ok I changed the thumb. Do you think it is accurate now?
