77. Converting a Bandsaw into a Fretsaw

Fab stuff and good on Burgess for at least trying to consolidate two tools into one- I don't imagine anyone's doing that nowadays. Wish I could convert my fretsaw into a bandsaw! Thanks for sharing. Cheers

Well I never, who knew that was even possible… 😳
I know, typically, a fret saw/scroll saw action is up & down, but surely there is nothing to stop a bandsaw, with an appropriate skinny blade, from being as capable of the finer cuts of a fretsaw?… 🤷🏼‍♂️
(Just thinking ahead really, to when I decommission my Ryobi Bandsaw for the lovely Green Record replacement… 😂)

It made a pretty cr@p fretsaw, works but not that reliable, ive now converted back to a band saw and use it on aluminium shee. it has another trick up its sleeve, it can be a linisher, a type of belt sander...
