I thought that the singer wouldn't be able to sing it well. He did really did a good job of lowering a few notes, and taking breaths during a phrase that help him a lot. He did an excellent job. These guys have to be in their late 50's at this show

When Bon Scott of AC DC died, rumors were abundant that the singer of Krokus was being looked at as Bons replacement. Obviously that never happened, but it would of been very interesting in as much as he sounds like Bon.

    • @monicajean37

I KNOW! Marc Storace is the perfect replacement, I wonder why they havent taken him up on his offer????

    • @alexiserni1152
      @alexiserni1152 4 ปีที่แล้ว

It didn't happen because at that moment Krokus was more popular than AC/DC - so Marc refused to continue with HIS band! We are a tiny country and we won't easily abandon life-long freinds for eventual fame ;)

Krokus was a very good live band.

Saw them in '83 opening for Def Leppard on the Pyromania tour. In all fairness, Leppard had been on tour for a while and looked sort of "going through the motions." Krokus smoked them that night.

    Fun story, about Krokus.
My favorite "brush with fame" stories.
1984... I'm a desk clerk at a Holiday Inn, in my hometown... Lubbock, Texas.
Sammy Hagar was in his VOA tour, and Krokus was the opening band.
Lubbock was the first city of Krokus' stint with Sammy.
No ideas why, other than logistics, but Krokus arrived in Lubbock 5 weeks prior to the show... and they stayed in "MY" Holiday Inn. FIVE WEEKS, with Krokus, as they're gearing up for their "Blitz" tour, opening for the Red Rocker.
One day, while I'm on my lunch break, thumbing through Circus Magazine, guitarist Mark Koehler comes over, and plots himself down on the bench, right next to me.
I'm 17 years old, and an 80s metal head... with a member of one of my favorite bands... sitting down to have a conversation with me.
I geeked out, a little, but tried to maintain my composure.
He glances down at the magazine, and notices the page photo. It was a photo of King Diamond.
I was never a big King Diamond fan, but, that's the page the magazine was opened up to.
So, Mark Koehler, guitarist for Krokus, (did I mention that? 😉🤘) glances down ar that photo, then asks me, "So what do you think of this guy?"
I was honest, and replied, "I don't really like his music."
Kohler, (guitarist for Krokus,) tespobds back, "Yeah, me neither. I don't like that devil crap."
Dude, in the household I grew up.... that's exactly why I didn't like King Diamond!
Yeah, Mark and I, (we're on a first name basis, by now, 😉🤘) became fast friends, and shared our favorite music... likes and dislikes... with each other, for the rest of the hour.
    So, that was cool. 😉😊🤘🤘

1985 I was driving down the street, stuck in traffic in downtown Louisville, on my way to work as a parking lot attendant after finishing school for the day. I have this song on, volume is on WTF, windows are down, something flashed in the corner of my right eye. I jump and look to find a cop leaning in my passenger side window telling me to TURN THAT S@@@ down!
I saw Krokus open for Kiss I think. It was mid 80s, open for Sammy Hagar on his V.O.A. tour I believe. It may have been Kiss, but I'm pretty sure it was Sammy.

I signed up for the Navy right out of high school in 1981. In June of 1983 we left on a shakedown cruise that was supposed to be 3 months long. Wr ended up in Beirut Lebanon for 9.5 months. I only took this cassette and a few others, Pink Floyd, Axe and Toto. I would take my player up on the main deck in the evening and play this while the sun set. It helped me stay sane.

One of my favorite intros to a song. The emotion of this song really comes through live.
Kel'n'Rich, no sweat if you don't get to my requests. I can hear those songs anytime I want. I make requests for your benefit, not mine. I do have a couple of requests that won't have any other people requesting them because of age or obscurity, but Rich does a good job keeping it fresh and interesting.

I saw Krokus 3x back in the day! They were the opener for a three-band gig of Krokus/Trapeze/Nazareth in spring of '81. I can't remember who they opened for another time in '82, and then on the Headhunter tour in '83. Had all their early stuff and even have an original vinyl copy of "Pay It In Metal", their earliest release, that had a VERY different sound from the Storace-led Krokus. Loved them back then. Listen to 'em now and I get nostalgic, but I don't think it's held up very well. :( Kinda like me. :( :( ha ha haaa

Proto-metal. They were out there in the eaaaarly 80's, and it took 'em until '83 to hit it big with this tune. When MTV hit, they kinda followed that lead and became kind of a typical "heavy metal" band.

Ok, so I’m lying in bed watching my favorite baseball team the NY Mets loosing to the Atlanta Braves on this Wed night, so I decide to check TH-cam to see what my favorite reaction duo (Kel & Rich) are posting tonight. Ok, I see Screaming In The Night, I try and remember if I had suggested this or not, couldn’t be sure, but I said, hell its one of my favorite songs, I’m gonna listen to it no matter what, so I click on it. I’m listening and, wait, hold on, is Rich talking about me? Holy shit he is, how cool is that, I’m finally gonna get one of my suggestions done, I’m ecstatic, but wait, uhmmm, is Rich calling me a little bitch? Did I hear him right? I’m not special? I’m an annoying, whinny little snot? This can’t be? Rich is usually a pretty nice guy, I’m just about devastated. 😟😥😭. Oh, wait, he’s kidding, he’s only joking, ha ha ha, lol, Rich isn’t a heartless piece of crap, he is a nice guy. And he’s talking to ME !!! He’s explaining how many requests they’ve gotten and I need to stop being a whinny little bitch, lol. No he didn’t say that, now I’m just kidding, lol. Rich, I understand you have a lot of requests from a lot of people, it’s cool, I’m cool, Hell, I’m better than cool because I got a shout out from both of you, I’M AWESOME!!! So, I listen to the song with you guys, on top of the world, fist pounding in the air, ✊shooting thumbs up 👍 to you Rich, putting up my horns 🤘singing along to the song, air guitaring 🎸 all over the place, and I keep checking Kell for her reaction, it started with a smile, changed to a smile with a head bop, changing to a smile, head bop and some swaying to the song, SHE LIKES IT, SHE REALLY LIKES IT, OH MAN THIS IS AWESOME!!! I’m on cloud 9 until the song ends. I take a deep breathe, close my eyes and enjoy the moment. That’s MY reaction to your video, lol.
All joking aside, I really appreciate you taking the time to not only react to my suggestion, but to give me an awesome shout out and explain your situation with the requests to me. I’ll try and understand how much you to deal with between doing this and also living your lives and work etc.
Here’s to you guys 🍺🍺🍺, May you keep being able to do this for as long as needed to get Kel up to speed on the music she missed out on.
Kel, I am truly sorry you were sheltered from making your own decisions on things like music, I can’t describe to you how much music played a part in my growing up, if I didn’t have music and the guitar to play back then I would have gone crazy, I understand how you feel of how much you missed out on. But I want to be a half glass filled type of person and look on the bright side, I promise that I will do my part in helping you on your journey to experiencing this great music you missed.
Rich, keep looking for the music Kel needs to hear to help fill that musical void of hers, and again I’ll do what I can to help, I’m pretty good with most guitar oriented rock music from the 60’s on.
Ok, my novel is over, I do tend to go on when I’m happy, and you guys have made me very happy tonight.
    Oh, and by the way......
    \m/ Stay Metal \m/

Hardware, Metal Rendezvous and Headhunter are great albums. After that they seemed to get bad advice or were trying too hard for commercial success and went a bit "hair metal" for a while. Headhunter is one of the best metal albums of the early 80s.

Kudos for this reaction - kont my fave Krokus song at all but at least you do something else! I love reaction videos but I regret that 99% do the same songs over and over again - as if even Nightwish has just 3 songs? I love see reactions on a diversity of bands - old/new - have us DISCOVER or REDISCOVER stuff - there is not just Floor on the planet even she is incredible excellence! Thankd for being one of those doing different stuff us well, even that you get LESS likes - music isn't about likes ;) Oh and as and old guy grown up with all that stuff of rock music I would love to exchange with both of you, but now idea on how or where to be seen (i won't even ask for a react :D) :D ...and now, they are Swiss like Gotthard (check them out) there was no market at all for "local" music in switzerland when Krokus rise.... they did an incredible job with "Metal Rendez-Vous" to get known even they existed for years already!

      Eluveitie and Cellar Darling.
Though Cellar Darling exists because they left Eluveitie.

I didn't realize that these guys were still active up until 2003
As per what Rich was saying, it's understandable that it may take a little while to get someone's request considering the amount of requests, I'm pretty sure that you get waterlogged with all the requests
